The leash is not what I would consider "heavy duty." The leash that I had to replace was heavy duty, but it's clasp was beginning to fail after MANY years of use. Also, this leash says that it has "reflective" stitching. I walk my dog in the dark in the morning and at night, and it is not reflective at all. Also, the padded handle is very disappointing. Since it was an inexpensive leash, I am not returning it because it's not worth the hassle . but I would not recommend it.
