I ordered gray in gray, it came in a vacuum bag, flat but fluffed up when opened. The size of a woman's head. It has a faint chemical smell that I'm trying to get out. Warm and windproof. It only smells. This lower rate is made from China.

I live on a mountain top in upstate New York and the weather can be challenging in winter. This is the hat to wear when the wind is blowing snow in your face and you need to be outside to fight it. It is very comfortable and gentle on the skin.

This product looks great BUT it smells awful! Smells worn and never washed. It must be new and I have to wash it because it smells so bad. I use soap and water and it still stinks! I won't buy it again because of the horrible smell of sweat and human waste. Totally disgusting

I like that it's thick enough to protect you from the extreme cold. I like everything about it except that it shrinks to mid-neck after washing. After that, it seems a little useless because your neck feels cold. I wish this was made a little longer.

I bought this as an extra gift for a little teenager who is bad at skiing but gets cold easily. The zipper broke the first time I put it on! There's no way to fix it, so I took it out and went with her the day after Christmas to buy a replacement. I was blown away by the cheap zipper they put in it.

I like to wear a warm hat with a peak when I go hiking or skiing. This hat does exactly what I want! There is a visor plus heat. I can wear it to cover my nose, mouth, and chin, or I can put it on and cover just my mouth and chin, or just my chin. I was afraid that I would have breathing problems wearing it, but that is not the case. The hat is warm and comfortable and suits me well!

I like this although it's not as thick as expected and came in a sealed vacuum bag where this thing broke. It's okay if he rests. Once I put it on it just wasn't big enough along with the front visor, was just for show and couldn't use it to adjust to your head like a regular hat band. If your head is L or XL this is not for you. This probably works best with a medium sized head.

material fabric seems good. The shadow is more uncomfortable than useful, hanging directly over the eyes and partially obscuring the view. But it may be because of my head size. However, the bottom half is very short, when I pull it over my nose, the bottom part of the balaclava doesn't even reach my neck. This seems counterintuitive as the shadow almost hovers over my eyes. I think the dimension of this particular one is off.
