In there for 20 years, plastic mechanism inside finally worn out. Best straight line I've ever had (I'm a carpenter), just bought the same one again, I'm sure it will last another 20 years!

I'm a union carpenter who does a lot of layout work. This chalk line is very well done and leaves very nice clean lines. It's not regular rope in a box, it's more like a spider web, very elastic but leaves nice clean lines.

I've been framing for 12 years and haven't found a better chalk line. The ONLY downside to this product is that I only get about 3 rows at a time. But I just can't refuse the heavy line, the fast spool, the crank lock, the comfortable feel.

I'm also a union manufacturer from Cleveland. I think this chalk box is great, I found that the Tajima brand chalk actually stays on the line a lot longer than other brands that you can find at home centers and devices. The shops.
