I'm afraid it just doesn't work

This item just doesn't deliver what it promises - the "air mouse" doesn't really work (wanders randomly across the screen), the typing function doesn't work very well and can be done without an easy way to access a pointer cannot be used. It's a good idea, it takes a lot of work, maybe work that can't be done. Warning, most positive reviews say "but I'm still learning" or "first keystrokes were difficult, but the harder ones proved to be a problem for me." Unfortunately, what never works well…

Fun, not too hard to learn, be ready to slowly build up!

I'm on day two of Tap and TapAcademy and nearing top speed. . . 13 words per minute. So the learning curve is a little scary. But I'm enjoying it and getting better and better! I am writing this review with his help! I don't have any iOS devices that *seem* to work best with airMouse and couldn't get it to work. I typically type on a QWERTY keyboard at around 100 wpm. Learning other keyboard layouts has been difficult for me - even after using DVORAK exclusively for 2 weeks I would still go…

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Too Boring

When you see a device like the Tap Strap 2, you might wonder if it really does what it promises. I received mine about 2 weeks ago and will go through the experience with you. When I received it in the mail it was well packaged and the packaging reminded me of opening a new iPhone. The kit includes Tap Strap 2 and a case in which it can be charged up to 10 times. There's also a charger and some quick setup instructions and mini cheat sheets. I am very impressed with this device. In just 2…

Pros
  • New to my collection

Beautiful but not desktop adaptable

I had a stroke and my right hand can't use a regular keyboard and mouse. I didn't buy this so much to replace typing, but for an interface to use with my bad hand, which is also my main hand. So I can't talk about typing skills, but I can talk about my experiences. First off, this thing is great for what I wanted it for. This allows me to use it as a mouse much more comfortably than before. I can't even use my right hand with a real mouse, but I can use this one. I can also use it as a game…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

A significant step backwards from Gen 1.

I have Tap Strap 1 and as a heavy user of the previous version I spent a few days testing it before I could pass judgment. Spring. The new design ensures the top of the joints fully engage where they previously had minimal play. I wouldn't say I have huge hands and I want to be clear that the Tap Strap 1 is for me. Well, no matter how hard I tried to set it up, it wasn't possible to get a reliable definition of the finger movements. Whenever I tried to type with a middle finger, it also…

Well designed product but hard to master keystrokes

I've been using this product for about a week. Learning this was not an easy start. Maybe I'm too old (I'm over 60), but learning fingerstrokes from simple ones seems very difficult to me. Pressing two or three fingers at the same time and NOT pressing the rest is very difficult for me. The TapGenius app for iOS has tutorials, but I keep forgetting keystrokes long before I've learned the whole alphabet. I connected to my iPhone via BlueTooth. OK, but the iPhone doesn't have a cursor, so I don't

Pros
  • Keyboard and mouse combos
Cons
  • Good but not great

Stunning design worth exploring

This amazing device is more than you think. I work as a product tester for a large company, so I see a lot of technology. I've always been curious about what Tap is and recently I finally tried one that convinced me to buy it. As for the product itself; wearing is very comfortable. They have a TPU coating and an adjustable nylon cord that allows you to adjust the rings to your finger size. It's comfortable to wear all day and doesn't hinder the free movement of my fingers. For those worried…
