Not bad if you don't mind sticking your hand in the oven and sticking this thing in your food until the reading stabilizes. I just did a test with a cup of warm water and the temperature slowly rose for 25 seconds before finally stabilizing.

The thermometer takes a very long time to give a temperature reading and when the temperature is shown it fluctuates wildly. I'm not talking a few degrees here, I'm talking a pot of milk on a very low heat that jumps from 70 to 120 degrees out of nowhere. The thermometer is unreliable and seems to give random readings.
