Out of batteries, not working

Out of batteries so the timer doesn't work. Tried setting it up to run out of batteries - still couldn't get it to work. I had to return for a refund. Very disappointing as this is my third time buying this timer. I loved my previous ones but this one is obviously cheaply made and inferior to the previous model. Such a shame.

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • Not bad

I thought it would be great to sync two things at once

I should have returned it immediately. Its administration is unstable. I can't turn it off most of the time without trying to turn off the alarm all the time. I have instructions and they are very clear. However, they only work a small portion of the time. I thought it would be great to combine two things at once. What a waste of $15. Decided to return it after being disappointed but there was more than a 30 day window to do so. Don't waste money.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • unreliable

bad design; needs better battery connections.

Poor design. Tried again and again just to set the clock to no avail. Before I can set the right hour, it goes off! I changed the batteries and tried again with the same result. Refusal to request a return/refund. Inside the battery cover is a small piece of plastic that holds one of the batteries in place to maintain the connection. Obviously the problem is known, but this solution doesn't work. Perhaps a large gasket on both batteries will solve the problem. Look for something different.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Don't go here for timer

Of course I've had this timer for about a year now. I chose one of the four events. Hours minutes seconds? No, I can't program any clocks at all. Maybe that's too many "things" for a small timer. From now on I'll stick with a simpler timer. Addendum to my review: I contacted a customer service representative from Taylor, the manufacturer of the timer. After investigating my issue, they will send me a new timer to replace the one just checked. The timer might not be the best, but the customer…

There are better timers than this. Find another.

I coach the college language team. Timers are my life. I've tried just about everything from the expensive Radio Shack brand (hey, the store may be closed but the timer is still on!) to cheap Ikea timers (which aren't that bad). I bought this timer because it looked different and I wanted to try it. It's badly designed. The buttons are oddly placed and you have to press them in a specific way for them to work. I like the idea, but the implementation of the design leaves a lot to be desired…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Too long to wait

The previous one was fine, this one is terrible

I bought the same Taylor timer a few years ago and love it. The buttons have been getting harder and harder to press lately and I decided it was time for a new one. I hope the one I just received is an anomaly, but it is seriously flawed. When I click on the timer channel it defaults to showing the clock most of the time, blinks a few times and stays on the clock. Sometimes if I try multiple times it goes back to the timer. Then when I try to add another timed event on a different channel, it…

Pros
  • The new one is
Cons
  • a bit torn

Great design concept but not Taylor quality.

Below is my first review. I ended up updating. I have purchased several products of this type over the past few decades, including several others from Taylor. This may be my favorite of them all, although going forward I'll keep it as an absolute statement. Since I haven't owned it for so long, I have some doubts about its durability. It doesn't appear to be as durable as previous Taylor timers. But the functionality is great! Easily toggle between four events on a 6 digit display, countdown…

Pros
  • So far, so good
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
