very upset good for accessories and consumables

recorded music for 90 minutes played back all distorted either very slow or very fast was very upset thought it might be my dictaphone but used an old cassette and dubbed , it was ok so it was a bad cassette which makes me wonder if they knew when they sold it expecting $2 who would return it they are right I threw it away

Pros
  • not cheap but decent
Cons
  • security

I needed a tape to test some old devices. This exceptionally affordable D90 looked perfect. Well everything is fine except for the first few minutes of side A - they're a little crumpled. I suspect they are selling from a bad lot. Take a risk if you're lucky. By the way, my old realistic tape recorder works very well after cleaning the belt. good luck

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • out of fashion

After years of the digital age, it's good to be retro again!

Having made the mistake of collecting vintage music from my teenage years again (now that I can afford it), I recently bought a freshly restored Pioneer CT-F900 vintage deck . and thus the "trial shot" made by the technician during the modification of the machine prior to shipment. Wow! I understand this is a "regular" offset tape compared to the more expensive, high offset offerings, but I'm seriously impressed that I've also recorded from Apple Radio and from my iTunes, I can say it's with…

Convenient cassettes are best on blank media

I often review books and articles for schools. I'm much more comfortable speaking into a portable tape recorder than recording paper on it. The normal offset TDK Superior D90 does the job well. Low background noise and clear sound. I think cassettes are a valuable tool and would recommend the TDK D90 as a good choice for everyday recording.

I'm fine -- with two minor disappointments

TDK makes excellent 90 minute tapes for general purpose recording. If you have the right equipment, these cassettes will record audio from albums, radio shows, CD-Rs, talks and more. These tapes have 90 minutes of blank tape for recording, so there are 45 minutes of blank on each side. The properties of this tape make it suitable for recording lectures and music with commercially available, less expensive home stereo systems. Tape playback works well on any basic cassette deck, including those…
