I have natural nails so I don't need to use them too often. Holds up well. If I don't lose them, this set will last about 5 years. One nail file/buffer per year. I love the buffer colors. I thought that having color buffers would reduce their effectiveness, but not at all. It is excellent as a filler for stockings. You will not regret this purchase.

Not what I expected. There is no difference between files/buffer blocks. Am I sure the granularity was rated between 0-180? So I expected different grains of sand to polish and shine my nails! Maybe I'm wrong. However, this is not what I ordered. I can use them for more advanced purposes and I think I'll be set for some time.

File folders are so flimsy and paper thin. It was even difficult to file my nails without bending them in half. Buffers aren't very good either. I had to polish the top and it didn't even work.

Purchased for metalwork on copper and silver. To bring down the marks of the file on the edges of some of my work. The colored blocks have a nice ground finish and not the polished finish you might find on white blocks. Sand sticks can be used the same way, but I like the soft give-in cubes. Grinding rods are also good for removing carbon buildup from a gas water heater igniter. Just turn everything off first. Google how to make a video! So far they work exactly how I wanted them to. After reading a few reviews it seemed that the buffs made the nail rough and not smooth, which turned out to be true. But that's exactly what I needed to use gel polish. It will last longer if your nail is slightly rough. So this product works exactly how I wanted it to.

The nail polish is exactly what I was hoping for! There are no sharp edges here and the grit is very fine, they give off great buffers and you can put all the pressure you need on the nail as there are no sharp edges and they won't cut the cuticles. Emory boards were just what I needed. they don't peel off for molding - I've had problems with other brands, the black sandpaper peels off, that's quality they don't do!

Block files work fine. I will buy these block files again if needed. I give them 5 stars. I don't like black files because they leave black bits on my nails. They're good for filing, but you'll need to be near a sink to wash off the black spots on your nails. I will no longer buy black files. I give them four stars for the stains they left.

I bought these to use with the nail repair kit as there was mention of buffing the nails after using the powder to fix a broken nail. I recently snapped my nail, used a different product and after applying the powder used one of the buffers to hold the nail together. The buffers work very well with the product. This set is a good buy and quality for the price but there are a few things you need to know. The files and sponge are all relatively hard. 180. They are great for quick nail shaping or smoothing (I bought them for toenails) and are also great for smoothing small corns. 4 stars because the sponges are not intended for polishing.
