Description of TEKTON 8 Inch Drive Ratchet SRH01108

90-tooth gear produces a working swing arc of just 4 degrees. Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: height, width, and length. Classic pull-release drive tang retains sockets with a spring-actuated detent ball. Biased drive direction switch ensures the ratchet gear is engaged at all times, preventing slips or free-wheeling. Sleek and simple handle design offers comfort and control in a variety of hand positions.

A must have for any DIY mechanic!

Can't say enough good things about this ratchet! It has a very smooth action and the directional switch is reliable and never decides to change mid-ratchet lol.

Used for the first time to replace front brake discs and pads. I have only used Craftsman tools before and was impressed with the ease of the ratchet. hope it lasts

Excellent ratchet in hardware

(Disclosure: Haven't used this Mutch at all; first impression) Feels massive and solid in the hand. Without hesitation. Ergonomic handle, chrome finish is beautiful. Arrive in good condition. No complaints out of the box.

10000% recommend: Ratchet

I have ordered countless items from TEKTON. They prove to me once again that they are a quality company in this industry. The 3/8 ratchet offers excellent durability and better ergonomics than the competition.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Doubt

Very smooth ratcheting action

I bought this ratchet because I was tired of my mechanic lifting the auto reverse plate on me. This one seems much stronger and the thin tooth is much smoother. I highly recommend this ratchet. I was very impressed with the Tekton brand tools.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great role, great company!

For those who have never heard of Tekton, give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Great tools from this company. The ratchet works very easily by loosening or tightening with a 90 tooth gear (I think). The best thing about Tekton is their customer service and warranty.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No paint required

It looks like a very good ratchet

The ratchet just came out, hasn't been used yet but I have to say it gives the impression of a quality tool. It's fairly heavy and solid, and I like the fine-toothed ratchet (I know it has more teeth than most) that only engages 4 degrees. I also have an Industro brand ratchet that I bought 45 years ago for $40 (very expensive at the time) and this one feels about as good. I was afraid this less expensive tool would seem cheap, but it isn't! I'll update the review if this seemingly good ratchet

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Some trouble

Great ratchet if you don't want to bang your snap-on stuff!

So I have tools that are half snap on, half handmade in the USA with just a few MACs and Tektons. For years I've used my FX Snap On 80 tooth (amazing 3/8 ratchet) for everything including auto and boat work. Never a problem but as these are old tools I prefer to keep them for low wear jobs and service them. I stumbled across TEKTON here on Revain and thought I'd give it a try, not expecting much.... Well I'm here to report that after using this ratchet exclusively for almost a year I'm amazed…

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Can I add something?
