"Click " will not reset

I almost turned a small screw in two because I didn't hear or feel the click. After examining the tool more closely, I found that once you hit the torque setting - and feel the click - that's how it is. If you release the pressure and continue, you won't get any more clicks. If you change direction it will work once and then get stuck like the other direction. I wonder if people who complain about not clicking are seeing the same thing as me.

Garbage. Don't buy power and hand tools

I bought this wrench for thinner fasteners instead of a 3/8" torque wrench. I used this to fit a $200 midwestern handguard to a rifle. Fasteners had to be 50 inches per pound. The wrench never clicked, and I ended up pulling the threads off my forearm. Ruined the handguard for $200 and I'm pretty sure Revane won't refund me. I build and service my own race cars and have used torque wrenches for 30 years and none have been as bad as this one.

READ THIS REVIEW! to torque wrench

Very well done! looks like a real professional torque wrench. I am a qualified car mechanic and this torque wrench definitely meets my expectations for a quality tool for everyday use. Easy to read settings, pleasant, gentle tactile "click" when you reach the desired torque. As the instructions say, get a feel for the wrench and practice on the fastener or model a nut or bolt that will also help break the tool. Very happy with my purchase and for the price I really don't think you could dig…

Good torque wrench.

Really good torque wrench for the price. It comes in a very nice case with instructions for those who don't know how to use it. There is no calibration certificate, but if you need a certified torque wrench, you pay significantly more for it. Read where a person complained that the engraved settings were too small to see. Well, it's a 1/4 disc with all the settings that a 3/4 disc has, but it's smaller due to its smaller size. I'm entering an age and also need to keep a close eye on reading the

Happy So Far - Power & Hand Tools

I've been using this wrench for a few days and am happy with it so far. I bought it primarily for inline skates and bikes and have tried it on skates, frames and wheel bolts. I haven't tested it for accuracy other than trying it on some pre-tightened and loose bolts. The wrench inspires some confidence in how it looks, feels, and works. Also the documentation is ok. This wrench isn't the easiest torque wrench to set, but it's simple enough. This involves turning the knurled knob while holding…

Very impressive quality torque wrench

I bought this torque wrench to tighten bolts on my carbon fiber bike. Every other bike specific torque wrench I've looked at was either unnecessarily expensive (because they were bike specific torque wrenches) or seemed like a toy with a bunch of cheap 1/4" hex bits packaged for good measure . This Tekton torque wrench looked and felt like a "precision tool" ready to use. It has a fine-toothed ratchet head and rotates fasteners clockwise and counter-clockwise. The torque wrench is supplied in a

Not what I expected but it works

I had trouble finding a torque wrench for my mountain bike due to the range of Nm required and the Allen keys available on the market. It's surprising and frustrating how difficult it is to find good metric tools in the US considering metric parts have been here my entire life. So I settled on that. Reading the manual, it was obvious that it was written by someone whose first language is not English. I was ready to return the key when I finally figured out how to use it. I thought it was…

The markings are very easy to read, as is the torque setting

I opened the zippered hard case and was immediately impressed by the feel, markings, handling of the micrometer setting and the ease of use of the ratchet. Mechanism. Not a big fan of quick release knobs on the ratchet as it requires a hollow drive wheel that releases the drive connector. You could remove it from the design and it wouldn't matter. Proper maintenance of the ball bearing with a drop of penetrating oil periodically will prevent the need to remove the seats. However, this is not a…
