Review on TEKTON TRQ21101 1/4 Inch Drive Dual-Direction Click Torque Wrench (10-150 in.-lb.) by Xiaomeng Chang

Very impressive quality torque wrench

I bought this torque wrench to tighten bolts on my carbon fiber bike. Every other bike specific torque wrench I've looked at was either unnecessarily expensive (because they were bike specific torque wrenches) or seemed like a toy with a bunch of cheap 1/4" hex bits packaged for good measure . This Tekton torque wrench looked and felt like a "precision tool" ready to use. It has a fine-toothed ratchet head and rotates fasteners clockwise and counter-clockwise. The torque wrench is supplied in a soft case. It would be nice if it came in a red molded case like other Tekton torque wrenches. This is just my opinion as the included storage case should be more than enough to protect the torque wrench. I tested the Tekton with another calibrated torque wrench (nothing scientific, just tightening and loosening a few bolts with different torque settings) and it was accurate. enough that I can trust him to tighten the mounts on the carbon fiber frame. At lower torque settings, the audible click is a little faint, but you can easily feel the torque wrench breaking as it reaches the set torque. I haven't noticed any ratchet slippage like others have said. The scale of the torque wrench is perfectly aligned and easy to read. After about a week of testing and actual use, I am impressed with the workmanship, accuracy and construction of this torque wrench and highly recommend it.
