I use it for fax modem and landline. It works well by splitting the line. However, I only connect one at a time because I only use outgoing faxes and don't receive incoming faxes.

I finally got the splitter yesterday which took over thirty days on a slow boat from China. The connectors were a little tight to connect, but it works fine.

This item is rarely needed in a typical household. We have quite a complicated system of telephone and computer networks. Some time ago I needed a couple of these splitters for an expansion of the system. The clerk at the nearest hardware store had no idea what I was talking about. So! I ordered it. After owning these bushings for few months I finally decided to use them I've been waiting for a long time to return/exchange them so it's a bust I advise if you plan on buying them DO NOT do it!next time I do so I need something, I go to the Radio Shack or even the Dollar Store.
