This doesn't work for Ecotron's fuel injection ECU. Ecotrons sells their own RS232 adapter for $50 and looks the same as the other options including this one. Instead of being derailed by Ecotron's prices I bought this adapter, not bueno. However, this works for the Innovate MTX-L Plus broadband O2 sensor. I installed Windows 8 64 bit.

I bought this for a very specific purpose in a production environment so I could connect some of our robot controllers on my laptop which normally require RS232 cables. . This allows me to use the controllers on my new laptop or use them if the controller was compatible. However, I find it useful for plants.
