Best hands down

Obsessed with this bag. Just buy it and you will love it. Here's what I was able to take with me on my last night hike: hydration bladder, sleeping bag, personal tent, camping pillow, headlamp, mirrorless camera + three lenses and two batteries, tripod, three bottles. Soylent, GoPro, wallet, phone and even more free storage space! I'm really amazed at how much stuff this little bag can hold. The detachable T-bar is a big plus when you want to carry heavier loads. Tons of straps and buckles for…

Excellent travel backpack

Love it! Teton is a great budget company. This is my third return from them. I have 2 flocks of ospreys. But this 45L backpack has the best features. It's on the heavy side. But it's perfect for day/two day trips. I chose this backpack because I will be using it on a day in central Florida this summer and because there was a lot of bush on the trails. I pushed the trails and the backpack didn't break. So I would get together this year. I choose a tarp, Zpack tent, sleeping pad, pillow, cooking…

Epic backpack bag :)

I like this backpack. This was the second backpack I've bought from Teton. Remember that the inner frame is a TPU plastic sheet. At the same time, it can and will bend under heavy loads. The only issue with this setup is a 20+ pound load. It works, but the waist belt doesn't hold as much weight as it could, putting strain on your shoulders. At this weight, this backpack is my daypack for long trips. My load for a 15-20 mile day hike includes: 3 gallons of water food for 1.5 days a small tarp…

Great packs: Outdoor Recreation

I bought a Canyon 2100 (35L) for my hikes in Colorado last year and I love it. For me it was the perfect size and volume. (male, 5'9" 210 lbs) Weight distribution options offer plenty of flexibility depending on the gear you need. Access points and loops make the pack easier to use on the trail. And it can work with a 3-liter hydrobladder without a significant reduction in internal space of the compartment. This year I bought a Summit 1500 (25L) for my wife (5ft 7in, 130lbs) because she needed…

Beautiful pack, great quality!

UPDATE: 6/17/18 This pack is still overpriced and fits in a 4 person raft along with oars, electric pump, first aid kit, extra socks and my life jacket on my back. Probably weighed around 45-50lbs but when I had it on my back it felt like 20lbs if so. The backpack definitely holds the weight well. We walked 4.5 miles where we pumped up the raft and then paddled down over rapids and some beautiful waterfalls. At our destination, we deflated, repacked, enjoyed the water for a bit, and then walked

Holds more than you think, very high quality.

I chose this bag over the 55L bag at the same price because it really has screaming quality and I like to pack as light as possible. The excitement worked. I took this backpack with me on my first trip, on a trip to the Lost Shore. I never realized how HUGE the bear canisters are since I've never played around with them. We have them on this trip. and I immediately worried that I had chosen the wrong package. In the end it turned out well! The canister fits perfectly in the main compartment of…

Nice compact lightweight backpack for a compact person

A good lightweight backpack for a person with a short torso. Pay attention to volume. Carrying anything more than ultralight gear can make it seem small. There is ample space if you are traveling with a duvet and minimal gear. Compared to hiking with my Talon 22, it just feels like luxury. What I like is the adjustable bottom that separates the compartments. When the rope is fully taut, the sleeping bag area is very small, perfect for an ultra-light down bag or duvet and a small air bag. This…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Good backpack for the money - definitely made for tall people

This is a pretty good bag for the money and it seems to work well for what I need it for (short term winter hikes, no more than 1/2 days). However, a few things bother me. First off, I'm a petite woman - 5ft 2in, just under 100lbs - and the chest strap is useless after adjusting the shoulder straps tight enough to fit me, even in the highest position. I'm buying for an "after sale" chest strap and plan on cutting off the existing ones. If you are a petite (5ft 2in or less) woman with large…

What I have found is that it is most comfortable when full enough

I have been carrying this backpack for about a year and a half. This is my first "real" travel backpack, enough for a day trip. I took it on an overnight trip last month and have done more than 20 day hikes since buying it. What I've found is that it's actually most comfortable when it's full enough. If I don't pack a lot, it doesn't sit as well on my body. (I'm 5ft 6in, for other women who asked about size/fit). I chose this backpack because the price was really reasonable for those unsure how
