Works great, looks great

I recently bought a case that allows for vertical GPU mounting and bought it because it matches the rest of the components (black). Thermaltake has always worked well for me in the past and this expansion didn't disappoint. There is a lot of discussion online about the quality, performance and durability of the PCI-E extender, but this one works fine for me on a GTX 1080Ti SC2. I had no durability or performance issues and didn't have to spend any extra money or wait extra time for the 3M…

Only buy Premium, DO NOT buy 200mm.

300mm+ Premium Vertical Cable Review: This cable is fantastic. Replacing the cables solved every issue I had with my PC, including issues that seemed unrelated to my GPU. First, I couldn't overclock the RAM. Anything above 2533MHz failed. Games crashed or froze intermittently, and there was also a sharp drop in frame rate. After purchasing this cable, I'm overclocking RAM, CPU, and GPU simultaneously when a Reddit user suggested it (stating that I might have overclocking issues due to a voltage

Buy Premium Vertical GPU Cable Only!

Installed in a new build and GPU keeps crashing/going to black screen on GPU vertical build. The computer manufacturer checked by unplugging the cable and installing the GPU directly into the PCIe slot and everything worked as it should. I was asked to purchase and install a premium riser cable and this issue is resolved. The funny thing is that the top two "premium" cables are made by Lian Li and Thermaltake, so I'm giving Thermaltake a chance to try their premium cable. UPDATE: Installed new…

PCI 4.0 compatible!

Yes, that's right, this premium vertical cable also works with PCIe 4.0 graphics cards. Thanks to Thermal Mike for the tip when building a Thermaltake Halloween gift computer with an RTX 3080. I don't know why Thermaltake doesn't advertise that it works. I couldn't get an RTX 3080, but I could get an RX 6800 XT. And it works without loss of performance and without failures. I also switched my MSI X570 motherboard from Auto mode to PCIe 4.0 mode just to be sure. Just make sure you buy a premium…

It is definitely better than Thermaltake Core P5 cable.

Compared to the issues I've had with the Thermaltake Core P5 adapter cable, this cable is a dream. If any of you ever buy a Thermaltake Core P5 case and use the included adapter cable, then be prepared for black screens and monitor graphics issues. All because of the almost useless vertical P5 cable. And what a headache when you clean the water circuit and touch the Thermaltake Core P5 cable. So this cable replaced the P5 cable and gave me no problems. So far this has made my 1080Ti card shine.

Pros
  • Compatible with most GPU/motherboard components
Cons
  • Low adjusted

Pros
  • PCI E x16 3.0 Compatible with 200mm Cable
Cons
  • No Instructions

The cable itself feels, looks and works well. (fingers crossed for now) I've had a Node 202 for 4 years, 0 problems until 2 weeks ago. The included riser card failed, well, one of the parts in the kit. I tried an ASUS product because I needed high quality, also I have an ASUS motherboard and the product was amazing quality but they only sell right angle adapters so I had no luck with the fit. ThermalTake was the next famous brand to have one, and they had one that ran straight instead of at…

Pros
  • EMI shielded design reduces interference
Cons
  • Requires outlet

I tried two other risers (cheap ones that look like old gray IDE cables). They worked fine with my EVGA GTX 980 but not my Powercolor RX480 (I think they call it the Red Devil? 1 fan 4GB RAM version). After a lot of searching on the web, it turned out that RX 480 cards draw MUCH more power out of the motherboard through the PCI-E slot than most Nvidia cards. I ordered one of these after hearing some good reviews. And it worked great on both my GTX 980 and RX 480. If you're looking for a stand…
