I LOVE THEM! on my review.

Fantastic socks that arrived the next day (THANK YOU). Super comfortable, great fit & feel like silk (pun). It's very hard to find a sock that fits a woman's size 5 foot & these fit like they're custom made for me. I didn't buy them for warmth, however, I took off my thick cotton socks to try these on & couldn't believe how much warmer they felt. I can honestly say these are the nicest & best fitting socks I've come across in ages & am definately going to order more.

Pros
  • Very comfortable. When I bought them the price was 8$ than the camping store.
Cons
  • The sock liner may be too tight or too loose for some people

Comfortable, and Affordable, Silk Socks

I am very pleased by this purchase. The socks are quite inexpensive considering that they are made of 80% silk! Very comfortable, and with a delightful 'slippery' feel, typical of silk, as the sock surface glides over your skin. (I have neuropathy in my feet, so attaining comfortable socks is important.) I have purchased pure silk socks before and discovered that they are the best way to go if you have feet ailments. Yet socks of this sort tend to be very expensive. so that this is an…

Pros
  • Wife heading to Alaska next month. I purchased two pair of these for her and she loves them.
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be warm enough in extremely cold weather

Sizing chart run short!

I wish I had gone through more of the reviews carefully or that a size chart was listed! Am women's 6.5 and based on the suggestion of one review, got the XS. Turns out the XS is for women's 2-4.5 (men's 1-3.5). An XS sizing of most things would normally fit me, so I'd say at least on the short end, the sizing runs on the shorter side. The chart on the package: S (men's 3-5.5, women's 4-6.5), M (men's 6-8.5, women's 7-9.5), L (men's 9-12, women's 10-13, XL 12.5-15, women's 13.5-15). Other than…

Pros
  • Amazingly comfortable liner socks. Comfortable, wick well, great for hiking
Cons
  • The sock liner may not fit well with some types of socks

Not as good as I had hoped

I used to own a pair of 100% silk sock liners and wore them all the time for Michigan Winters. I tried these for a trip to Europe and they did not breathe as I had hoped, my feet still got sweaty. disappointed.

Pros
  • Great for long periods of standing or walking
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people who need extra toe support

Great Socks best in my review

My feet are cold and clammy in the winter. These socks work great for wicking moisture away from my feet. The sock liner may not be suitable for people who need extra calf support.

Pros
  • Adds an extra layer of warmth during winter months
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people who need extra calf support

Reliable company and good products

I have been using Terramar silk products for over 10 years and have been pleased with the quality. Rule number one when buying silk products is to be honest with yourself and order a size large enough. Otherwise, you will thrash them because it is a delicate material. As for these socks, they are an 80/20 silk/nylon blend. I wear a 10 EE size shoe and bought the large. They fit fine. A narrower foot could probably use a medium. Wash in cold water to avoid excess shrinkage. The nylon content will

Pros
  • Helps reduce swelling
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people with high insteps

Keep my feet warm best in my review

These are nice and not too thick so my shoes still fit when I put them on, all while still keeping me warm. The price may be too expensive for some consumers!

Pros
  • They are lightweight, easy to get on, warm, and comfortable.
Cons
  • The price may be too expensive for some consumers

Good Enough for my opinion

Long but not quite as long as expected, still a few inches blow my knees. They are soft--somewhere in between cotton socks and silk in feel--but I expected softer.I haven't tested them hiking or skiing yet.I guess, good enough for the price.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people with sensitive toenails

First impression good--have yet to use or wash

These fit well, seemed to deliver the desired 'under other heavier sock' goal. Haven't worn or washed, so the proof will be in the pudding, but initial impression positive.

Pros
  • Moisture-wicking
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people who wear orthotics or other foot inserts

Initial try for my opinion

I have a large American size 12.5 foot and the XL size fits perfectly. The material is soft to the skin and thin. I haven't worn them enough to test their durability yet, but so far so good. As a sock liner worn with a heavier cotton sock outside they are exceptionally comfortable, though they seem to work well enough by themselves as well. For anyone who regularly travels, these take up 2/3 of the space in my bag as my cotton dress socks and 1/2 the space of my larger cotton athletic socks. For…

Pros
  • Provides all-day comfort
Cons
  • Poor fit

Great wicking sock for long periods of snow plowing/shoveling

Socks came to door fast. Socks are as described 80% silk 20% spandex. I wear then as a wicking sock for snow plowing and they work excellent. I use them as the first layer closest to my skin then I add 2 layers of thin wool socks. I have had minimal moisture near my skin when I take my duck boots off and the 3 layers of socks off. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Thin enough to fit in shoes easily
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people with flat feet

These are tight for the size!

While I'm planning to keep these socks to wear with my boots - beware - they're tight for their size, relative to cotton socks. I ordered the largest size available - XL. Even if you're a L, buy the XL. And if you're feet are smaller, buy 2x larger!

Pros
  • These socks are thin enough to allow room inside my boots for thicker wool socks.
Cons
  • It does not provide enough cushioning for high-impact activities

Great as liner socks

I wear these as a liner sock and have used them in very cold winter conditions down to -10 degrees Fahrenheit. Once we get down to -20 on a regular basis I'll try to remember to post an update. These socks have helped keep my feet warm without getting sweaty. Combined with an alpaca over-sock, they've kept my toes comfortable, even when snowmobiling. The fit is comfortable without being constricting. My calves are muscular but not particularly thick, and these socks stay up without inhibiting…

Pros
  • Can be worn during exercise
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people with flat arches

revain needs to update their product description information

I ordered size small because it said it fits shoe sizes 7 - 9. After I pulled the socks out of the package, I saw on the label that the small size fits women's shoe sizes 4 - 6.5 and men's sizes 3 - 5.5. I wear 7/7.5 shoe size (women's) and they were a little snug, but it's too much of a hassle to exchange so I will keep them. I just hope they don't shrink when I wash them. That is the reason for my 3 star rating, the socks themselves are really nice, good quality.

Pros
  • Good for people with circulation issues
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people who need extra stability

Never thought such a sock thin liner could stand alone in 40 degree temperatures without a thicker sock over it. However, the liner did not make it as easy as I thought it would for a thicker wool type to slip over it. Still, I love it and will buy more.

Pros
  • Provides added support
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people who need extra heel support

I'm so happy to have found these socks

I'm so happy to have found these socks. My toes are always cold when I ski and I usually have to use toe warmers. These socks worn under a light wool sock kept my feet very warm. On a really cold day, I'd have to use a supplemental toe warmer but for most days these work beautifully. They are not super thin like some silk socks but thin enough to wear with another pair of socks.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor workers
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people who need extra padding on the sole of their feet

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Pay attention to sizing

Totally thought when I ordered these that "7-9” sizing meant shoe size. Was unpleasantly surprised to find that actually meant 7-9 inches. These socks were way too small…thankfully I ordered some thin wool socks at the same time so I had something to wear skiing. I would imagine the socks are nice, but just wish they had clarified sizing.

Pros
  • Easy to pack for travel
Cons
  • The material may not be suitable for people with sweaty feet

Well Made & Worked!

I really like how these socks are made, not cheaply put together. I wore them as a base sock in Yellowstone last week in -15 degree weather. My toes did NOT get cold. They work great.

Pros
  • Good for people with sensitive feet
Cons
  • The material may not be suitable for people who need extra ankle support

good downhill skiing liner

Good ski liner. Over-the-calf keeps upper seam away from pressure points in ski boots. According to the package SIze L is men's 9-12 and women's 10-13. Sock was plenty big for my US size 10.5 shoe-size foot. I wore it as my sole sock in my somewhat too small ski boots and remained warm and comfortable.

Pros
  • Resists wrinkling
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people who wear tall boots

I like them for my opinion

I like them, but wish they where polypropylene like my class 1's. I enjoy them more because they are above the calf than mid calf style. Which slide down within 2 steps.

Pros
  • Lightweight
Cons
  • The material may be too slippery inside the shoe
