great for skiing: my feedback

I used these under my ski socks. I have terribly cold feet. They worked. One day the windchilll was -20 and my feet were fine. (granted I had heated insoles as well). Other days when the temp was 30 I never needed my heated insoles. These kept my feet from getting sweaty. Also prevented blisters in my snow boots. I would purchase again. I'm 5'2" about 130lbs with athletic calves and they were fitted on my calves, but not so much so it was uncomfortable.

Pros
  • Improves overall foot health
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people with tight shoes or boots

Only thing better would be electric socks

This is my second pair of these - the first ones only lasted 5 years. I'm not sure I really got my money's worth out of them =;->.I wear these when riding my motorcycle when it's cold (at least to me - below 40*F) and they work very well. Between these and wool socks, my feet stay warm enough to ride all day and into the evening - unless the temps drop into the low 30s, at which point I stop riding.I'm happy with them and expect these will last me the next five years.

Pros
  • Provides a layer of insulation
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for athletes who need extra padding for impact protection

Thin and still warm

Bc of foot surgery last summer, my husband needed to wear a thin but warm sock to be able to get in his ski boot. He said these have worked out very well! He wears a size 11 shoe and we bought the large. Fits great! Very comfortable and thin enough, but warm.

Pros
  • Helps regulate body temperature
Cons
  • The sock liner may cause chafing or blistering on the skin

Great sock liners! - my new review

Sock liners are truly thin and warm. I could easily fit another pair over them. I will be working in extreme cold for short periods of time and I am going to order another pair. These are perfect for skydiving this winter at minus 30 degrees!

Pros
  • Use as a base layer for Cold weather, either hunting, fishing, or hiking works great.
Cons
  • The material may retain odors after extended use

Finally - something that keeps my feet warm

Sitting at my desk during the cold winter months my feet get so cold. Even my warmest winter socks and fleece-lined slippers don't do the trick. I added these silk sock liners to the mix and my feet are finally warm.

Pros
  • Not quite as lightweight as I would have liked, but easy to put on, warm, and no shrinkage when washed.
Cons
  • The sock liner may slide around inside the shoe

Feet Warm, Finally.

These arrived in the mail a couple of hours ago. I put them on and then added another pair of socks. Even though, all of my winter socks are extra warm and fuzzy, my feet are often cold with 2 pair on. All of my floors are bare, so I tested these by walking around in only my socks. So far, I am very impressed. The weather outside is wet and cold.

Pros
  • Women
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people with sensitive skin

Miracle sock liners!

Warm feet, finally. I have bad circulation I guess, but have always had freezing cold hands and feet; I'm now 47. I can't handle the cold well at all. My feet freeze under 2 or 3 pairs of socks, hurting because they get so cold. I have been sleeping, basically living in these since I got them. It's December and the other day it was 8 degrees F on the way to work. I had these on, one regular pair of socks and my feet were warm, no pain, no numbness, just warm! To me these liners are a miracle…

Pros
  • Reduces friction
Cons
  • The material may shrink or change shape after washing

Check sizing! good for me

I bought a small because online it says small is size 7-9 for women. Once I got them I put them in with my ski stuff and forgot about them until we left about a month later. Got the socks out to put them on for the first time and the sizing on the package says small is a 4-6.5. Not going to fit my size 9 feet. In hindsight I should have checked but I assumed their online ordering info was correct. Now it’s too late to return.Double check the sizing once you get them in and before the window…

Pros
  • Reduces impact on the feet
Cons
  • The material may not be suitable for people who need extra flexibility

Great base layer to keep your feet toasty

This is a simple product that does it's job well. I have used thermasilk products for years and have never been dissapointed in their quality or functionality. Great base layer to wear out cycling when it's cold out. Put on a pair of these and slip a pair of good cold weather socks over it and you should be able to tackle any weather conditions up to and including sub zero temperatures.I sweat a TON and these work about as well as can be expected for someone like me in the sweat wicking…

Pros
  • Prevents sliding in shoes
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people with bunions or other foot deformities

the secret to warm feet!

These are thin enough to wear easily under wool socks, but add more warmth than you think possible. Great! That's my review!

Pros
  • Helps prevent blisters and calluses
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people with sensitive Achilles tendons

Nice Thin seems to be good quality

Nice and thin. Comfortable. Washed a few times and they do fade a bit. Elastic is good and doesn’t over compress. Yet, seems to loose a bit of their shape.

Pros
  • Ideal for hikers and backpackers
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people who need extra shock absorption

product looks good: my feedback

i wear a 6-61/2 shoe, and ordered a small, it just fits fine ,so if you wear the same size this is good, but if 61/2 or 7 order a med. enjoy was not handed to me as stated on the e mail.

Pros
  • Uses them when he goes to the woods
Cons
  • It may not be breathable enough during intense physical activities

Best sock liner ever

These were the first sock liners that I have ever purchased and I love them so much that I just purchased three more pairs. I never knew about sock liners before I started to watch videos about hiking the Appalachian Trail. In the videos the hikers talk about how sock liners have helped them not to get blisters. Well I do hiking and I get blisters, something that no one really wants but everyone gets. So I thought that I would give it a chance and to my surprise they really work. I never go…

Pros
  • Outstanding. Keeps feet warm in motorcycle at 80mph in 39 degree weather. Rises up to calf.
Cons
  • The sizing may be inconsistent across different pairs of sock liners

Socks for people who don't like socks

I prefer the light feel of going sock-less and buy shoes based on that; but, it does get cold in winter. I bought these as liners and didn't like them - or, didn't need them. One day I decided to try them as socks and they felt great: very thin but they don't bunch up -- they stay put. Thin, but warm - and very natural.

Pros
  • Helps prevent shin splints
Cons
  • Uncomfortable

liner socks just sounded like a good way to go

With hiking on the horizon, some already done without these, liner socks just sounded like a good way to go. The feel good, don't bind, and add to security of foot and mind. I've tried them for walking around just while shopping and such, and I do like them. Hoping to do some longer runs and I am really hoping these will save me from sores.

Pros
  • I've been wearing these liners for a long time and they're sti
Cons
  • The sock liner may lose its shape after washing

Highly reccomend on my review.

I am a first responder and wore these everyday for six days during the snow storm. I walked, drove, climbed, and lifted. Not once did they shift or fall. Even when my wool outer socks were wet with sweat, I didn't know it because these took all the wetness away from my skin. I am really happy I had them. They streched out a little between washings but they went back to perfect afterward. No complaints; I highly reccomend.

Pros
  • Can be worn under thick socks for added warmth
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for people with Morton's neuroma or other foot conditions

Keep slipping best in my review

These don’t really stay up well; they constantly slip down into the boots, even though they are plenty long enough to fold over.

Pros
  • Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry
Cons
  • The material may not be stretchy enough to fit comfortably

GREAT socks for the active winter person.

These perfect soft and stretchy socks are just what I need to keep my feet warm in the cold Wisconsin winters. I like the silky smoothness and light weight of these, which makes them perfect for things like hiking or skiing where thicker socks can cause blisters or chafe. As a 20 year member of revain I rely on independent reviews when shopping. Therefore, I will always try to be as honest and impartial as I can and will try to provide helpful insight into the product. I am reviewing this…

Pros
  • Clothing
Cons
  • The sock liner may not be suitable for athletes who sweat excessively

1st- Socks are short .Not over the calf, foot part is correct length, but only 1/2 calf at best.2nd- Socks are not comfortable to stand or walk in.But I said for warm toes I will deal with it.Now the results. Wearing Thermasilk socks under them as a liner. Also wearing Baffin Trapper boots with removable liners (that do reach over calf 17").Morning Day One hunting:Using Remote, I didn't think they were working so dug down to them both lights on medium and cold toes. Changed to high and could…

Pros
  • Provides maximum comfort
Cons
  • The material may not be suitable for people who need extra foot cushioning

Agree with Kim, stated size is off.

I bought what was reported to be a size range 11-13 (XL) since I wear 11.5. The back of the package (per Kim) shows what I got was 12.5-15. Assuming this to be U.S. sizing, the XL is too big. I'd say more appropriate for a 12-14. And indeed, when I put them on, they were a little too big. Since I wear 11.5, I will keep them as they are only slightly too big.

Pros
  • Provides added warmth
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for people with foot or ankle injuries
