This is a backup thermometer for my husband (his first instant read melts if placed too close or on the grill for too long). That being said, this one is much more durable and has additional features that it's happy with and I think it will stand up to its abuse, oops, use. The price was great and shipping was very fast (thanks to Premier Seller). Easy to use, we actually checked the water temperature in our pond to see if it was time to stop feeding our fish for the winter.

I've owned many thermometers, from very expensive Bluetooth devices to devices like this one. BUT,. i love this one It's fast, accurate, and has both a built-in probe and one to get into the oven while the device stays out. It seems to have the best features I've ever used without the extras I've never used. We cook for breakfast, lunch or dinner 6 to 12 times a week and it's so fast and accurate. This is the best of the best I've had so far and I will be buying it for my kids too.

This thermometer exceeded my expectations and has some really nice features: *thin* probes only make tiny holes in the meat, temperature readings are *fast*, the extra wire probe makes frying that much easier easier and welding, and the thin wire is protected by a metal braid. I had several thermometers and needed to keep them on my worktop away from the stove but this one mounts right in front of my oven using a built in magnet. Very cool. I can see the temperature of my food without even opening the oven. The probe goes straight into the oven and penetrates the food.
