Love this brushed steel finish. I was able to add my own detailing to the finish by sanding the sections, slightly exposing the brass underneath, and then heating with a butane torch to paint the remaining steel. Very cool vintage result. And the lighter works perfectly. The case looks better than my new Zippo armor.

Poor design and doesn't work

I filled the zippo liquid according to the instructions that came with this product. The lighter burned from the edge (the space between the lighter and the bottom of the case) and not from the wick. The liquid evaporated from the side, causing the lighter to run out of liquid within minutes. I've refueled a few times and tried different things but couldn't keep the fuel from evaporating on the rim due to the poor design.

Pros
  • Lighters
Cons
  • No work

DEFINITELY NOT ZIPPO!

To be honest functionally it burns but that is due to accidental flames around the insert due to a poor fit between the insert and the body/sleeve. Laying it freely means the fuel evaporates very quickly, so you'll need to refuel every time you use it unless you're using it all day. I bought it to use for various projects/crafts and found it empty than empty so I suggest buying fuel in bulk. Do yourself a favor and don't judge a book by its cover or title like I did. It might not be the baitโ€ฆ
