🔧 Time-Sert 1812CORE M8x1.25 GM Rocker Thread Repair Kit Review

I liked the quality of this kit. I am confident in sending my customers on the road after making repairs with this kit. I will definitely buy more.

The Time Sert kit was very well made, instructions are very simple and accurate and worked perfectly, my Old 2003 3.4 was back on the road a day later.

Expensive but worth it. He takes a big problem and turns it into a simple solution! Used it to attach an elongated rocker arm hole on a 3.4L 2008 Equinox. Still cheaper than a replacement head!

Used to repair thread damage on a block due to faulty roller rocker assemblies on a 2003 Buick Century. Much better than spiral coil and permanent repair. Now it works perfectly. Please note that this article is specifically designed to address this issue at GM. This set does not fit.

The name says GM rocker arm holes but my Silverado 6.0L's rocker arm hole threads are about 18-20mm deep and they only send 11.8mm inserts in this kit. hope it lasts I chose them because they should be better than HeliCoils but I hope the short deployment length will hold up. I was able to get decent length HeliCoil inserts so I hope I didn't spend 4x the money on a half length alternative. Fingers crossed.

Much easier than spiral coils. Worked great, I've already repaired 8 rocker arm holes and the tools that came with it still work like new. If you need more inserts than what is included, make sure you order the correct inserts. It looks like the inserts in this kit were specifically designed for this application. I had additional inserts that matched in depth and thread, but the ledges were slightly larger than the inserts in this set. Those big shoulders won't fit through the hole that the…
