Now I'm doing my job, which means I'm repairing the .

I do my own work now which means I fix other problems that people have left for me. The last time they removed the transmission pan from my car, thanks to the mechanic, I pulled the threads off. He squeezed the breech too hard, tearing the aluminum thread. Using this product I followed the directions and smeared the threads with some Loctite and the fastener went in perfectly and tightened up to 90 inches per pound. Expensive but poor quality repair

I have used spiral coils for repairs in the past and they have worked well. However, this cleaned hole was on a part that took many days to access the hull and I needed a highly reliable repair. The kit is well packaged and protected, appears to be of high quality and has worked flawlessly in this repair. The last condition almost made me "fix" the surrounding holes (it was perfectly normal). Verdict: Expensive as I needed the full kit initially, but it's worth the investment for the job. If…

Form and Function: Metric Inserts and Kits

This kit came in very handy when I was rebuilding my 1996 Toyota Cresta with a 1jz engine. I used it specifically for threads that had come loose on the oil pump housing. In any case, it had to be strong enough to withstand the tensioning pressure of the timing belt, since this thread made it easier to assemble the tensioner…

Pros
  • Made in USA

Some tips and feedback on first use

2003 Chevy Malibu 3.1 174000 Miles Rocker Thread Repair - Cylinder 4. (Post your vehicle specs to help others!) First of all, it's made in the USA. Very good quality and works very well. The tensioning screw of the fourth cylinder was unscrewed. I found the seesaw just sat there. The time to complete was about half an hour. It's basically prep work and cleaning. The actual repair should take about 10 minutes or less - I'm not a mechanic. I've seen several reviews from people complaining about…
