The ball dropped instantly

The earring sat in place for about 12 hours before the ball fell off and the earring was lost. I've worn different earrings for years and I know how to get a secure fit...the ball inside must have snapped off. I want a replacement or refund, but I can't request this if I can't return the lost earring.
