I used this double boil method pot to melt candle wax. The presence of a filling spout ensures clean filling of the molds.

Used with a pot of water as a steaming method to melt wax from used candles. Very convenient. I could hook the handle over the pot. The spout worked fine.

Arrived as expected. Great for my little candle making business but the spout is quite wide and almost flush with the rim. So if you don't have a steady hand to dig slowly and steadily, you'll end up in a mess. But otherwise it's great. Definitely not ideal for beginners just because of the learning difficulties.

Plan to find a large pot that fits the silicone pad. Take it to Goodwill and find a garbage pot to boil water in. The wick holders are really very strong! I was expecting tin foil, but they're actually essential. The pot is a good size and stirrers are useful for mixing flavors and/or colors.

Error loading media. LOST MY MONEY! DON'T WASTE YOURS! I can't return it, I don't get my money back for it, well all my money for it back. Don't waste your money, it's solid to the touch, it has rivets in it. but that's the best part! This thing can't take two pounds of wax, and if it did, it would be extremely disappointing. I was so excited to wait to receive it and now I was just disappointed.

The first candle maker here; From my point of view, this pot was exactly what I was looking for - an economical and simple pot with a spout to pour clean water from. This product did just that and was more than enough for my needs. Be careful, the plastic handle is warm to the touch but poses no risk of future heat distortion. The wick centering aids worked well and the metal spoons, although a bit small for stirring the wax, were a nice addition.

First off, the item is very easy to use, lightweight, just what you need for melting and pouring candles or other hot liquids. However, as they say, it is much smaller than in the photo. I thought I'd order more and found it just wouldn't have enough soy to make a couple of candles. I have to spend a lot more time melting in small batches and it becomes frustrating waiting for each batch to reach the right temperature to melt and then pour. It serves its purpose but doesn't meet my needs.
