Time Saver: Garage and Shop

I was about to leave work today when I saw that my 2004 Ford Expedition had a cracked rear window. I used my own 1/2" impact wrench with an extension. It worked great and was faster than using the bushings that came with it. The shock is rated at 1200 ft-lbs of torque and withstood that force.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Useless features

Not a worthwhile investment

Nothing special about the product. Like others, it can easily bend and change shape with a little pressure! So nothing that strong! I always had a problem with this price! Materials and assembly cost no more than $5 but again as I couldn't find a better price just bitten! I do not recommend. By giving $5 on top I can buy a 4 ton bottle jack from Port Freight! Definitely why bother converting the hard to use stock connector!

  • Great for me

  • Not bad but...

If you have a scissor jack

If you have a scissor jack, you really need one of these. I use it with a drill but you can use a ratchet wrench or just a wrench if you like. Most of the power of a scissor jack is achieved when it is extended. By the time you arrive at this place, you will probably already be tired and spending more time than necessary. If you use this item with a drill press, you can spend 1/10th of the time (or less) completing your task/to-do list. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Cool

  • Somewhat wrinkled

Much better than that stupid hook handle

Very strong piece. I had to bend down a bit to get into the jack. I used an air wrench on it, but you probably shouldn't. When raising the car, he hit the thread of the jack, when lowering it, the bearing quickly broke. I reassembled it and it's still fine as long as you don't unzip it more than necessary. I don't think it was meant for a supercharger. If you only used one ratchet, that would be perfect. I keep it in my tool box, just won't be using it again with an air jack wrench.

May NOT fit your jack

Looks like it was designed for tongue operated scissor jacks where the tab fits between the flanges on the adaptor. If you have a cylindrical drive system (see image) this MAY NOT fit. This adapter has an overall diameter of 7/8 inch. Both of my scissor jacks are vintage and I prefer to use them over the incredibly cheap sheet metal stuff used in modern cars. This adapter is slightly larger than the hole in my scissor jack drive. Mechanism. I'll try sanding it down, which will void any…

  • I vaguely remember

Not all 1/2 " socket adapters will fit it easily.

I've used this to adjust the level for some of my work. The scissor jack is overkill for me, but it seemed like that to be quickest and easiest tool rather than making a whole adjustment chart. I had a special 3/8" to 1/2" adapter that I bought from Banggood. I had to file the end 1/2". Other socket sets which I have worked well with indicate that there can be a fit issue depending on the driver. Not a huge tolerance issue but an issue nonetheless. I need to do a bit of work on the Banggood…

Great idea, consider replacing the original screw. Not universal.

This appears to be well made and fits my 2008 Hyundai Azera jack perfectly, although as suggested I replaced the bolt with a hardened grade 8 and put in a washer to eliminate internal movement and the lock washer and the holder because I couldn't find the lock nut for the bolt I was using. The jack for my 2008 4Runner was a different story. Unlike a car scissor jack, Toyota uses a bottle jack, and while the screw mechanism for lifting is similar, it's a solid eyelet with a hole for the crank to

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Very convenient! - Car lifts, lifts and jacks

First of all. Do not let the device loose, otherwise the nut will work and loosen. Secondly. Make sure it sits STRAIGHT on the jack so it will not move during use. Third. It works flawlessly, smoothly and quickly (on my 2009 Xterra socket). No wobble, just hold the punch/drill straight. I am using a Ryobi 18 volt damper and it needs to be on the highest level to raise the car. so there is hard work. Keep the threads lubricated, don't rush it up and down (let it cool) and enjoy the easy use of…
