This wrench does not match the picture! The handle is not plastic! It has a plastic handle that slips on (actually slips out)! I already have a few of these, I wanted this one so I only had a piece of plastic to hold when trying to remove the filter that was too tight. In the end it depends on how many oil changes you do, I do a lot. That's not for me. The bottom line is that it doesn't look like the picture.

The metal on this filter wrench is approximately 75% thicker than what is found in auto parts stores. More importantly it removes filters even if they are over tightened cheap junk, bent and broken spot weld on my truck oil filter Gear wrench removed my filter easily, cheap not If you have oil filters and water separating (marine) fuel filters you need this one Key.!

I had a very tight fuel filter on my boat that literally broke 3 rubber band wrenches trying to remove it. Complaint. You can really add some torque and the wide range is good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the metal strap scratches. and if you're trying to loosen something you don't want to scratch, good luck If it was rubberized that would be nice.
