Great size and no stupid notch

I thought it was too big but it turned out to be incredibly useful. I like that there is no notch in the corner as I use it for woodworking not carpentry.

Pros
  • Can be used as a protractor, saw guide, triangle and angle square
Cons
  • Some mistakes

LARGE (12 ") square fits carpenter's square

This is a LARGE square only. I love that it is highly visible in my shop and that I can now mark lumber up to 12" wide without having to move the "normal" square from one side of the board to the other. While it's not a precision tool, it's perfectly adequate for its purpose.

Pros
  • High visibility orange construction square
Cons
  • unreliable

Don't shake it like an orangutan as it's made of plastic

You can't go wrong with this device. Don't hit him like an orangutan because he's plastic, and don't trust the numbers because 0 isn't exact, but that's true of every chevron square I've ever used. The bright orange color makes it easy to find if (not "if") you forget where you put it.

Pros
  • Can be used as a protractor, saw guide and triangle and square square
Cons
  • Useless functions

It's made of plastic. And it works great!

Should have read the reviews on this square more closely. I can't find anywhere on the list that it's plastic. Plastic has some advantages, but I was expecting metal. Since using it for a few days, I've found that I like its light weight, high visibility, and sturdiness to last as long as aluminum, and this one doesn't rust or corrode. After using it for a few days, it still remains boxy with my square steel frame. If I ever need to replace it I will buy another one of these.

Pros
  • Permanent marking of deep border square
Cons
  • Secret

LARGE Square (12 ") in Measuring and Marking Tools

It's just a LARGE square. I love that it's easy to see in my shop and that I can now wood up to 12" without having to move the "normal" square from one side of the board to the other. While not a precision tool, it is perfectly adequate for its purpose.

Pros
  • One piece construction
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Great tool at the best price!

Perfect square shape. I've had the same one for years and just noticed it had a small tear. I bought another one from Revain at a great price and I love the first class shipping. This was a great tool for marking out all of the 2x12 lumber for my new post office building. The metal one might last longer, but I've abused mine and it's still tough and cracks and all.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

It's made of plastic. And it works great!

I should have read the reviews on this place more carefully. I can't find anywhere on the list that it's plastic. Plastic has some advantages, but I was expecting metal. Since using it for a few days I've loved the light weight, good visibility and it's strong enough to last as long as aluminum and this one won't rust or corrode. Pros
  • Excellent for me
Cons
  • No instructions
