Description of πŸ”§ Boost Efficiency with Tools Record Replacement Mechanics T3C

Use to replace worn parts on a Mechanics vise. Main screw is made from machined steel with a rolled 2-start acme thread for wear-resistance and smooth operation. The fused steel handle is made to bend before the vise can be overstressed. Includes main screw, handle, nut, pin, spring, and washer.

That was the missing part

After finding the returned vise for about ten dollars, I decided to make the vise I've been thinking about for quite some time. I used 1044 steel which is harder than A36. and can hit. The good thing is that if I break it I can weld it back together. This is a good product for what I need.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Available in black only

Threaded part 10 inch

Repaired vise. This part works for all No3 Record vises as well as Quick Release No3 (SQ3) vises (although they will no longer be quick release). From the pitch on the handle to the end of the screw is 10 inches. The cast nut is really good. The screw is not as well made as the original, but I don't see any problems with it.

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • Weak

Poor Vise Replacement

This is a really cheap vise assembly. The screw is shorter than in the picture and is 10" long instead of 14" as shown and stated. The bolt is not acme, just a coarsely threaded shank and has a hole for a roll pin where it will break if you don't strip the threads off first, assuming you can even open the vise wide enough to start with.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price
