I really liked this iron. I even ordered a replacement. The iron takes much longer than 30 seconds to heat up and once it finally heats up, it won't hold the temperature. Both irons smelled strongly of burnt plastic when plugged in and would not go away. I have a Hot Tool curling iron that I love so I thought it would be just as good but after that I don't think I will ever buy a Hot Tool product again.

I bought this 3 months ago, I have another brand of straighteners that I also use, This Hot Tools is a piece of junk, It doesn't snap in, but the power buttons The power button is on the handle. So when you hold it to straighten your hair, your hand rests on the on/off switch, constantly turning it off. Do not buy this iron

I am very disappointed in this rectifier. When I received it, the digital display barely worked. I had to remember how many clicks it takes to reach the desired temperature. After 3 months, the display only shows a few random dashes. I have to hold it a certain way or my fingers accidentally touch the buttons and since I can't see the display I have to turn it off and then back on. Not a quality product. My 5 year old Chi worked better than this.

Heats up very quickly. I have very fine, naturally curly hair, I blow dry it and it frizzes. Then I run this hair straightener and it straightens out and looks great with no damage. Great inexpensive hair straightener!
