Topo Athletic Womens Trail Running Women's Shoes Review

I really liked these shoes and was hoping they would fit my really difficult feet but they just didn't fit me. I gave 4 stars because the quality is very good and if I didn't have so many problems with my feet they would have worked. I have crooked toes, a wide foot and a narrow heel. They were too tight at the top of the foot and pinched on the metatarsal bones. So I returned them.

I wear sports shoes 7.5 for sports and when walking in rough terrain. These shoes were very comfortable when I put my foot in them, but they are too short. The forefoot is good, roomy in width, but when standing my toes were in front of it so my toes would dig into the toe box when going up and down hilly terrain. I'm sending them back. I'm only 5ft 2" and while sizing is just a number I just don't see the point in ordering a size 8 shoe.

I've been wearing these shoes for 44 days but only for two weeks due to heel pain right now. On the plus side, it's the only shoe I currently own that doesn't hurt my heels and knees when wearing it. I've struggled to find hiking boots that don't blister after a few miles. I need a wide toe box and a narrow heel and I tend to lift my toes so I always get bruised toenails (even if I go 2 sizes up like I always do with hiking/running shoes) and/or blisters from slipping heels .
