- Internal Hard Drives

I used this to replace the hard drive in my Dell MFP. This drive uses 10% more power than the original, no problem. (By default, Windows 10 analyzes and defragments the hard drive while it is in sleep mode, making the computer unresponsive and unusable. Changing the settings to manually defragment and evaluate is a must for older systems with lower processor, memory, and hard drive specifications.)

Toshiba sells junk.

I bought two of these drives and they both failed in less than a year. If you want to store something important, don't buy these discs. Luckily I had backups of my data on a different brand of drive so I didn't lose anything in the event of a failure, but if I were to rely on Toshiba I'd be a lot tougher on them here. Also, they only honored the warranty on one of the two, broke the leadframe and claimed that my second failure would void my warranty. It wasn't broken when I sent it. Make sure…

So quiet! Fast enough!

First Toshiba customer here. I have had about 4 Seagate drives and they were all SUPER loud, but I was pleasantly surprised at how QUIET this drive is! I seriously don't understand why people don't use these laptop drives in mid tower gaming pc, I've had so many bad experiences with 3.5 inch hard drives. It's fast and inexpensive. I highly recommend this hard drive. ! Advantages: + Quiet! + Fast + 2.5 inch (great for mini-ITX builds) + Price/Capacity Cons: - I wish it was 1TB, otherwise no cons

3 of 4 failed drives in 1 week from 2 different vendors

I bought 4 of these drives based on reviews from 2 different vendors. 3 out of 4 failed within a week. Two came in sealed anti-static packaging from ETARATECH. Installed two from ETARATECH on two different laptops. I couldn't even install Windows on the first one, forcing me to run diagnostics that failed a surface test pretty quickly. The second was fine, but after I loaded Windows and all other software, it started to run very slowly. Then I got software errors. I tested it and this drive…

Good Laptop Hard Drive

Works well with almost any laptop that uses a standard 2.5" 7mm SATA hard drive. You can't help but like a 500GB drive at this price point. It's hard to believe that storage like this can come at such a low price per gigabyte. I come from the old computer days. MicroSD drives still amaze me with their technical capabilities. 1/2 terabyte hard drives are incredible. Terribly amazing. I don't get how unbelievable this is, but those of us who grew up in the "pre-cellular" era, who were in our late
