The display works fine

Initially I had trouble getting the display to work with my existing Raspberry Pi. After installing a fresh version of Raspbian I was able to get the display working. I contacted the seller to help troubleshoot and they were very responsive. The picture on the display is nice and clear, good colors. The touch screen works perfectly. The legs are a bit cheap but that's to be expected. Nice touch in case you lose it. The stands come with tape, you'll need to remove that before screwing in the Pi.

Was great until he died.

I installed this using a Raspberry Pi 4 and although the build seemed unnecessarily complicated I was very happy to see that I didn't have to dig into the operating system once I got it working to change the display settings to make it work. Also, I didn't have to solder anything to get the touchscreen working. The ribbon cable was a little fiddly to install once the Pi board was fully installed, but otherwise nothing exceptional - except flickering. while loading. Once the system was up and…

Depends on the operating system but the picture and feel is excellent

This touch monitor is designed for the Raspberry Pi but runs on both 3B+ and 4B. Basically, depending on how the monitor is mounted, you need to wire your Raspberry Pi in a VESA-like arrangement. The difficulty lies in the fact that the assembly has fairly tight tolerances and, as other reviewers have pointed out, requires the use of the included heatsinks (custom sized) to properly install the board. The power requirements are quite high, you'll definitely need at least 5W to power the entire…

Nice little display, more detailed instructions can be used

The result is a nice compact display/Raspberry Pi system. The stylus worked well on the touchscreen. The assembly instructions were minimal and didn't explain what to do with some of the parts. For example, black plastic strips and a longer display cable. A few things weren't mentioned, like the display's screw mounts, which are covered in yellow plastic that needs to be removed before you can install the board mounts and feet. One deviation I made during the build was that I didn't want to pry

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Power socket required

Nice display, instructions are small but easy to understand

First, it's a DSI display. It is connected to the Raspberry Pi with a thin 15-wire cable (2 of which are included in the scope of delivery). It doesn't accept HDMI input and only works with Raspberry Pi. On the other hand, you only need one cable - no need to connect separate cables for HDMI, power and USB (for the touchscreen). Drivers are also not needed. There is also a small error in the description. The display is 800x480, not 800x400. It's also much smaller than the photo by hand. When…
