This whisk is of excellent quality and so handy for small amounts. The base of the wires is sealed at the handle so it should withstand an occasional wash in the dishwasher, although hand washing is preferred. Please note that this company makes two different 6 inch whisks, one for general use (with a pink handle) and one specifically for use with eggs (with a yellow label on the handle). I bought both because there is a distinct difference in the wire design.

I bought this model because the stainless steel handle is dishwasher safe. It's well balanced, light weight and the whisk size is perfect for large batches (2 liters or more) of bread dough. The connection between the handle and the whisk is sealed with some sort of clear acrylic material that has withstood about 15 rinses and is in excellent condition. I like this feature because it keeps the dough from getting caught in the creases in the top of the handle. I would buy again.

I bought it mainly to manage the sourdough and subsequent bread making. It's a great tool - the handle is very long, and the fact that it's fully sealed made it an easy upgrade from the old wooden tool I used (which broke shortly after purchase).
