The shift knob on my 2003 Celica GTS 6 manual transmission was completely worn out and torn. It replaced him very well. It is screwed on without an adapter. Beautiful TRD gear knob with leather cover "Made in Japan". It comes with a female M12x1.25 metric thread. I actually fitted it to a 2010-2015 Gen III Toyota Prius using a custom adapter I machined from my shop. Prius models require an M6x1.0 metric thread. The handle would be nice with an M8x1.25 thread adapter on Toyota automatic transmission models. This is much better than the nearly identical 42mm Delrin hard plastic TOM model only available with shipping from Japan.

The standard leather gear knob on my MR2 was starting to fall apart so I went with it as a possible cheap replacement. The ball is a bit small (more like a golf ball than a tennis ball) but the leather matches the rest of my car and feels good enough in my hand. The description is unclear, this IS a threaded knob and not some cheap "self-tapping" soft plastic tube where you cut the threads by screwing it onto the shifter.
