Efficient and affordable

This power supply changed my life. I've been paying for 300Mbps on my internet for years. Recently I realized that I was hitting the max speed of 100Mbps, so I wasted my money. My problem was with the network adapter that was part of my motherboard. Purchasing this adapter allows me to use most of the MBPS I am paying for, or. I use this adapter at an average of 294 Mbit/s and am very satisfied. I can finally watch 4k and 8k videos without much buffering. Installation was easy and anyone can…

Not as advertised! Suitable for network cards

Not as advertised. It came in a completely disassembled box, the card is not the one in the photo. Can't get over 100Mbps on install, even after setup with Windows, and also when connecting a Cat6 cable to my DOCSIS 3.1 surfboard. I have requested a replacement so I will update my rating and give more stars when I get the right one and it works properly. Update: the second one arrived today and is exactly the same (see 2nd photo). I'll go back and buy it from Best Buy hoping they give me the…

Nightmare - DOA - Computers and Accessories

This review is for the TP-Link 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express NIC/NIC/NIC. Unfortunately, the reviews on the product page are a mix of any of the many devices. This antique was not installed and the system could not find or recognize it. Windows Xp was mentioned in the installation guide, which gave me an idea of the age of this outdated design. I don't think it's plug and play and the driver (last downloaded from the manufacturer's site) didn't install it. Funny, the file read…

Functional card for Pfsense firewall

I bought this card for my Pfsense firewall/router to replace a very cheap USB ethernet adapter I was using (although this adapter worked surprisingly well as my WAN interface ). This card is based on the RealTek 8168/8111 chipset and uses the "re" FreeBSD driver. The card was automatically recognized after installation and hasn't given me any quarks yet. This card is suitable for a home router with multiple concurrent users and an average internet connection of 30Mbps. I ran iperf from my…

Don't buy if you're upgrading Windows 10!

This adapter is easy to install. Windows 10 recognized it immediately and loaded the standard Microsoft drivers (the adapter appears as Realtek). I checked the TP-Link website and found and downloaded a newer driver. Everything was fine until I tried to install Windows Update 02/2020. This caused the update to fail for a variety of reasons - the worst being a reboot loop with ndis.sys not running at boot, or a blue screen during normal Windows processing. Disabling the adapter before the update

Works with Linux! for computer components

This review is for TP-Link TG 3468 because Revain is not able to group reviews consistently. home network) for a Debian KVM server with integrated network (Realtek 8111H). When opening the box, the card didn't magically pop out and insert itself into the case (pain), I had to open the case and install it myself (OMG - horror). TG3468 was discovered by Debian Buster and after I set up a second network interface and a KVM bridge, reassigned the VM to the new bridge and restarted, the VM on the…

Affordable and does the job

I tried an Intel PCIE 1.0 Dual Port NIC but it didn't work. So I gave this one a try as all my TP-Link switches were reliable and the reviews were good. As other reviewers have pointed out, it comes with a tiny driver disk for most operating systems. Windows 7 and pfSense worked without a disk. As I haven't seen anyone explicitly mention this, the card comes with a full-height bracket and a spare low-profile bracket. I mention this because not all cards that advertise a low-profile mount come…

TP-Link Realtek Gigabit Ethernet Adapter.

You have one of the MSI motherboards with KILLER E2200 network adapter, hot trash is a good way to describe it, the driver set is so buggy that the card literally disappears in the middle of .net browsing from your system and won't even show up in Device Mangler. This is useless exercise. Driver software and even support are useless. Enter the TP LINK product family. I've been buying their products for many years, they've never given me any problems except for a minor connection to the AC 750…
