Great router! - Networking products

Works well so far. Use this with Optimum Online and an Arris SB6183 modem. Setting it up with TP-Link instructions was very easy. I love that it has one 2.4GHz channel and two 5GHz channels. 2.4 GHz reaches my whole house. Two 5GHz connections transmit ultra-fast internet to different parts of the house, so I can connect to one in the basement and the other on the second floor.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not all suitable

Frustrated with routers

I bought a TP-Link AC-3200 (Refurbished) because the price was within my budget. There were no instructions included. I have installed other brands with no problems. After some effort I was able to add my computer, phone and printer to the network. However, I could not add my TiVo Roamio to the network. I called the manufacturer. I called TiVo. I called my Internet and cable TV provider. Nobody could solve the problem. Eventually, after running the cables and following the advice of one of…

The speed dropped a lot and WPS didn't work

I really hoped this router would work. My old router was TP-LINK and I was happy with it for a few years but it kept dropping out from time to time so it annoyed me enough that I bought another router. When I installed this router, the speed was initially excellent, I was outputting 170Mbps. Slightly better than 150 Mbps on my old router. But after launch, the speed dropped to 30 Mbps! I thought that can't be. But I plugged my old router back in and my speed went back up to 150Mbps. So this…

Good Fast Router for Computer and Accessories

You can get 1 2.4Gbps AP with variable channel, 2 APs with 5 APs with this model. It wasn't quite what I expected. But it worked very well. It offers the ability to share files on a USB stick, but this seems to be related to the "workgroup" domain, and I'm not using it on my LAN (Linux users here, set it to something else), it There is no way to change this, so I don't use this function (minus 1 star). Otherwise this is 100% for a home router. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Not Recommended Best in Computers & Accessories Category

I've been using it for 5-6 months (still using it) and I'm not happy with its signal strength and speed which drops off sharply at times. We have an Xfinity 150MB plan and I live in a small one story apartment and we rarely get all 3 signal bands even if we are only 5-10 feet from the router. I really don't understand the logic of so many antennas, so I don't recommend it to anyone.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • So So

What I need is the best routers

I bought this to upgrade my super slow TP-Link router AC 1200. My connection was slow and with all my smart devices (about 20) mine was suffering Connection. My 5GHz signal went up to 60Mbps on a good day. By simply upgrading my router with the same service, I increased my speed to 150Mbps. My connection has improved a lot. Then I decided to upgrade my service now that I have this monster in my living room and I'm pushing 300Mbps. If you have TP-Link products, the setup is the same. The…
