I really like my knife set. Sharp and beautiful. They fit well in the block. The block is simple but looks good with casual viewing. My only downside is that a knife came with a lot of makeup that I can't wash off (black stripe). If I had a Dremel tool, maybe I could polish it? I do not know.

I have a Tramontina Professional Series chef's knife that I have owned for almost 25 years. This is still my favorite knife, I use it every day. I am giving this set away to deserving nieces and nieces on special occasions.

I cannot recommend the quality or durability of the knives in this set. The butcher block that came with the kit did not have a slot large enough for a chef's knife. Replacement requested if this is an isolated case. Exactly the same problem with the 2nd set. If it was an option I would give this item zero stars.

We have been using this Tramontina set for a few months now and are very satisfied.
