Stylish and durable stands

After researching speaker stands for several weeks I decided on these stands based on the reviews on here and other sites. The coasters are very strong with just enough weight to make them feel "expensive" and durable. The base is made of glossy thick tempered glass while the stem and top are made of metal with a glossy black finish. I connected them to my white A5+ audio engine. The posts also come with rubber caps that you can put on the carpet spikes if you have hardwood floors. So far I am…

Good speaker stands

Good speaker stands. Sturdy, heavy etc. At this price you'd think they would come with 'plugs' to fill in the holes that allow you to run speaker wire through a metal stand. A simple rubber stopper gives you the option to fill them with shot or sand. You can always make your own by just covering the hole with tape or whatever, but this would be a good, inexpensive option for TransDeco. Overall they look good and are heavy enough that I don't have to fill them. but that would be a good option.

Nice stands for my Polk S15

I bought them and assembled them in minutes. The glass floor is very nice, as is the finish of the vertical columns and speaker platform. It comes with cleated feet and rubber tips to cover the cleats when used on floors that can be damaged by cleats. The wires are hidden in the pillars and run through the base of the pillars, not the bottom of the stands. I use them on a pair of Polk S15 speakers and they fit almost perfectly. The speaker platform is slightly larger than the speaker itself, so

Did the trick in speaker stands

It was a decent price, right size and fairly easy to put together. I filled them with sand by plugging the bottom with a rubber stopper and then using a funnel through the top. This means I can't use "cable management" but I don't care. I laid them on two layers of carpet, one as a carpeting and one as a room-sized decorative rug. I also refuse carpet spikes as they can damage my expensive oriental carpet. So, as they say, they certainly stagger a little, but not much. I don't have kids or dogs

Stable, attractive stands.

Stands are strong/sturdy, look nice, easy to set up. Especially the base feet look very cool. On my Wharfdale Diamond 225 I had to replace the rubber feet a bit because the footprint of the base is larger than the bottom plate of the stand. Not a big deal but it would be nice if the plates were a bit bigger. It seems that most speaker stands are aimed at surround sound and/or satellite speakers. 225 are large and fairly heavy bookshelf speakers. Despite the size of the base plate, they carry…

Better and heavier than I thought

I bought two sets of these coasters and paid more than I wanted and I'm glad I did. I needed them for front home theater speakers and surround speakers. The glass feet are heavier than I thought and look sleek and very stylish. The pillars are also heavier steel than I expected and are basic but look good enough. It would be great if the pillars could have a fluted design. I also think the holes in the speakers for the speaker wires could be finished off to remove burrs or install some sort of…

Not very stable; There has already been a rollover.

I originally named these great racks, but am revising my rating. I've used them on my KEF LS50s and they sit perfectly on top with non slip feet but I've just gotten some deeper/wider speakers and this has made them very unstable, in one instance a box crashed into it knocking over one of my $1600 /pr speakers, and they were covered with sand. The problems I see are that 1.) the base isn't wide enough to keep from tipping over (and the sand fill made things worse), the spikes on the bottom…

Nice bases but 1.5 inches shorter than advertised

Good quality bases, attractive design, especially the thick tempered glass base. However, there is a remark. I have 32" and 26" coasters. Note that the manufacturer must have measured their height using spikes attached to a hard floor. Without spikes or rubber feet, both posts measure 22.5 inches and 30.5 inches, respectively. Because the spikes go into the carpet, they still land at almost the same height. This may not bother you, but I recently needed another pair of rear/surround speaker…

Great stand when set up correctly. Here's what you need to do.

This is one of the few tall stands I've been able to find from Revain that will fit a small pair of Cambridge Audio speakers. Raising small speakers so that the tweeter is at ear level requires a taller stand. Other reviews for Transdeco coasters were positive so a kit was ordered. The stand is fairly easy to assemble, but as other reviewers have pointed out, it takes a little help to get it really solid. Remember that vibration is the enemy of audio equipment, so everything needs to be solid…
