Travel Berkey Filter Filters Fluoride Review

The filter leaves a white residue in the water. I read some bad reviews about this product after purchasing it so I tried to cancel my order before shipping but they refused it. I received the product today, followed the directions and tried to use it but it doesn't work at all. I don't want my kids drinking this muddy water.

My son has had a large Berkey for many years and I have been happy with it when I have used it. Bought travel size. The filters took forever to "refuel". company called. People were rude and unhelpful. Once the lower chamber was full, the upper chamber had to be removed to allow the water to flow. Removing the top camera was extremely difficult. Returned it and Revain refunded my money. Too bad the big camera is a great product.

I've had my travel size for four years now and I still love it. I wish it was easier to fill the filter, but so far I haven't had to, except for the first time. My Berkey is pictured on a plant stand which I received from Revain and it fits perfectly. The stand is called "Bamboo Plant Stands Indoor, 3 Tier High Corner Plant Stand & Outdoor Garden Plant Rack (3 Tier)" and was inexpensive and easy to assemble.

I was absolutely disappointed. I got the lemon after rave reviews from my sister who has one. The two chambers fit so tightly together that this created clogging and water could not exit the nozzle unless toothpicks were inserted between the chambers to ensure even pressure. It didn't have a "fill line" so you could guess how full it needed to be filled and it leaked everywhere. We have had our Travel Berkey for almost 9 months now and are generally very happy with it. Well we didn't pay for the water analysis so I think we can trust it to do what it's supposed to do. I can say that the taste of the water has improved. One problem we've had recently is fluoride filters (we bought both the standard/black and fluoride/white filters) failing. I wish I had read all the one and two star reviews before purchasing the Travel Berkey. First, it didn't meet the needs of my family of 3 and the water was filtered for ages. And sometimes, to make the filtered water flow out of the lower chamber a little faster, I raised the upper chamber a bit so that it flowed out of the tap faster than a trickle. I love our Berkey! We have a very small kitchen. Although it doesn't "fit under" the top cabinet, it sits on a counter in front of the cabinet and the top door opens without hitting the lid. Attention! First let me say that I love water. BUT, no production process is perfect, and I got a lemon on the first try.
