NOT VELVET. The product is not velvet. Velvet has pile and as you can see in my picture there are no pile fibers. I have waited a long time for this item to be back in stock based on the content and reviews but this fabric is not the same at all. It's micro suede, great fabric but not what I paid for.

I really like this, it's not thick or bulky. It's sleek and stylish, the stitching is just amazing, the design I have is a very large bed and it definitely folds down the sides just like I wanted. Get a different and lighter color when I switch for early spring and summer. It's worth the money, I have no complaints, everything is great.
