Good price - works great.

My HDMI port is next to the outlet. The old serial-to-HDMI connector didn't extend at all, so I couldn't use the monitor and power the laptop at the same time. About four inches of cable between HDMI and serial is ideal. The delivery was quick and well packaged. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Revainrating 5 out of 5

weak construction.

The shield or gold-plated part of the connector is only protected by a tiny solder bump. This is the second time an accidental impact on a connector has ripped the connector apart and sometimes that little bit of solder would grab the internal pins and completely destroy the adapter. Just a very cheap design.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Disruptive

Connected a new laptop to an old monitor

We needed a way to connect a new laptop (Micro HDMI and USB-C only) to an old monitor (VGA, DVI, S-Video and Composite) connect and it worked. DVI is my favorite of the older standards and thankfully this adapter worked without any issues or glitches - something I can't take for granted when connecting two electronic devices 15 years apart.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • A bit torn

Works and is cheap

I have an old desktop (early 2009 Mac Pro) with an ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB graphics card. It only has DVI and VGA video outputs but will look fine on an old 24" Dell monitor at 1920 x 1280 @ 60Hz over DVI. I bought a new 4K monitor to use with a newer MacBook Pro. This monitor only has DP and HDMI inputs. So I bought this item to have access to my old desktop without needing 2 monitors on my desk. I was surprised that the display actually looks a lot worse on a 4K monitor than on an old Dell…

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are flaws

Does the job! at Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I bought this to connect an Apple Studio Display + Apple DVI-ADC Adapter to a Dell Latitude laptop. Connected seamlessly, very easy to configure in the display settings in Windows. The adapter itself is sturdy and both connections are secure. I haven't tried it with a TV, but it works great with a laptop.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Does not work with Dell 3007WFP + Yoga 2 Pro + Windows 8.

I recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and wanted to use it with my Dell 3007WFP. I have had a Dell 3007WFP for over 5 years and it has always worked. When I connected it to Yoga 2 Pro on Windows 8.1, the monitor was not registered by the system. I turned off Y2P and plugged the adapter back in and the monitor finally worked, but only at 1280x800. If you dare to touch the adapter, it will turn off the monitor and you will have to reinstall it. This is due to several variables. Windows 8.1, a…

Works with Wacom Cintiq 21UX

Finally something that works well! I was trying to use newer computers with my old Wacom Cintiq 21UX display with DVI-I connector. I needed something with a short string to hold the load vertically. That's it! No more screen problems!

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Doesn't work on Mac Mini M1 Apple Cinema Display

Had to return as it didn't work with Mac mini M1 Mac OS11 Big Sur to work Apple Cinema Display , aluminum sides, last Sold in 2014, but Apple's display has been around for a long time. It had a colored bar in the center of the screen. No, the ad is not out of date. Now the display works fine on another old Mac (and worked for many years). I think that jump was too big for the Mini or Tripp Lite.

Pros
  • Bumper molded rubber shell
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something
