Surprisingly strong stakes

Supported my tent and raincoat on the beach at Assateague Island Campground on a windy, cold day. They didn't move an inch, they were amazing. Highly recommended.

Best SAND prices!

They sway so much in the sand that they're also easy to pull out when they're done. I used them for 2 months in Cabo and loved it, it was very windy and they held my 5ft x 12ft canvas. on the perches of a green elephant!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Functionality

They do NOT work on sand. Probably not in the snow.

bought this to secure half a tent on the beach. Useless. Good money thrown away. We had a beach day with no shade. I only wish there was something under a star. Complete garbage.

does the job. Bigger than I expected but ok

Works well enough in the sand to hold a picnic roof. It holds well in the wind and the spikes stay in the ground. We used them with a lawn that had sand/granite debris underneath. They could not hold out against their will. They have nothing against my dog.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Operating speed

Follow the directions for the correct position and you'll be fine.

They worked very well to hold our parasol. I was very impressed and they easily slipped into an umbrella pocket for storage. Pay attention to the directions. They tell you which way to tilt and look at the pins for sand, snow, and dirt.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Too wide to fit my tent's loops

Purchased for use on the sands at Monaghans Sand Hills State Park. They hold up well but were too big to fit most loops in my large Coleman tent. I wish they were a little narrower. I ended up using the long nail pegs we packed on the loops with us and only used them on the fly anchor points. In the future I will need to tie a small piece of string to the tent's hinges so I can use those stakes there as well if we ever need them.

Strong and gigantic

I just received them today and am happy with these clothespins. I haven't used them yet, but there is no doubt that they are Guardians. They have beautiful pins and I don't think I'll ever be able to bend or break them. It's more than I'll take on a hike, but they'll be in my car for now. They are huge. The length and width surprised me - they reliably cling to any loose sand or soil. These pegs belong in a camping kit for those inevitable soft ground campsites where regular pegs are too dainty

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not sure

A big step forward for pitching on sand

Bought these to avoid the wind pulling our tents on river beaches which has happened all too often in the past. We took them on a trip and they worked MUCH BETTER than traditional tent poles in keeping our tent stable even in fairly strong winds (20-30mpg for a couple of hours). The wind on this trip wasn't as strong as previous trips (40-60mpg for 12+ hours) so I'm hoping they will work if it gets really bad. Get five stars because they did their job, were easy to use and at a great price. As…

Big and Bully!: Outdoor Recreation

These tent pegs are the big boys! I've attached a photo for comparison with MSR and some Titanium rates. They are just over 12.25 inches long and weigh an average of 1.95 ounces each. I used them on a recent winter trip to Yosemite and they worked great in the sugar snow. They drowned them deep, covered them and they held perfectly. . At $13/6 they are heavy (2x) compared to the $25 0.85 oz x 9.5" MSR bets and outperform the 0.30 oz x 6.5" Titanium bets at 15/6 Dollar. Hopefully this will…
