Peak Style #1962 15X Magnifier

Good product. Pay when buying a magnifying glass. Peak Model #10x Magnifier 1983 with a larger field of view and a "standard" reticle scaled in 0.1mm increments was and is better suited for my research.

Pros
  • 360 degree clear acrylic base lets light in from all directions
Cons
  • Operating speed

Legally blind to lightboxes and magnifying glasses

I have been legally blind to LHON (Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy) for over 30 years. I've used a variety of magnifying tools over the years, but I use this magnifier daily for reading on my phone, reading prints, store prices, etc. It's small enough that I can even carry it in my pocket. time what i do. I've been using it for 13-18 years, maybe longer. I have also recommended this tool to many other people with the same vision problems. With all the high tech gadgets to help visually…

Pros
  • Dimensions: 1-21/64" diameter and 1-13/32" height
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Much smaller than I thought it would be, but my only real complaint is that I don't like the clear Item apparently should only be a hair shorter. When it is fully screwed down and I set the loupe a bit flat, the image is blurry as the viewed object should be a bit closer to the lens, but the transparent part prevents that. I ended up just using sandpaper to trim the transparent part of the "bell" and now it seems better, at least to my eyes. For the price it's about what you would expect

Pros
  • Loupe
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than other picks

top magnifier. A window to a wonderful world.

I've had the Peak Lupe for about 30 years. I originally bought one, 10x, to view slides but have used this and others to view everything; "A world in a grain of sand," as William Blake says; Flower details, pinhead, insect eye, my nails (awful you have one hand for the magnifying glass and one for the thread). I've even used it to get shards of glass or wood out of the hands of me or my children (leather has fascinated us 15 times). In fact, I can't think of a better gift for a curious child…

Pros
  • Accessories for the photo lab
Cons
  • Something else
