Somehow my old original Tupperware salt and pepper shakers have disappeared over the years. Eventually I decided to replace them with a new location. I haven't had a chance to know the size of the old ones, so there's nothing to compare. I thought I'd take the original. Although I really like these new ones, just heads up. They are a lot smaller than I remember.

lids for these shakers have to be put on. The plastic is SO COTTON that when I tried to push the tiny pin at the end of the cap into the clasp that is supposed to hold it in place, the pin bent and had no strength to engage. IMPRESSIVE! Never thought it was Tupperware! Never! And given the price! Not worth $0.50 Will keep as I need something that seals but wouldn't buy if I knew the poor quality. I don't just mean "poor" quality - TERRIBLE QUALITY!

Very disappointed with this purchase. I have had these Tupperware salt and pepper shakers before and have never been more disappointed with this purchase than I am now. The vertices are not closed. I've tried, as others have mentioned, trimming the hole so I can close it up and make it airtight like my others, but I managed to mess it up so much I can't get them back. I am so upset with Tupperware that I will never buy a Tupperware product again. The quality is not the same!

I may have received a bad batch but the top cap was poorly made and there is excess plastic around the area that should fit the grooves. in the lid. You'll have to cut it off or something like that to trim it enough. I also noticed that the plastic of the shaker bodies is now almost transparent. I ended up finding an unused 70's model on another site and I'm happy with these originals, but I can't particularly recommend these new ones (nor would I give them away for free).

I ordered these because they reminded me of the shakers my grandmother used when we were growing up. It's hard to find plastic salt and pepper shakers with colored lids and I was very happy when I stumbled upon them. However, they arrived wrapped in so-called garbage bags. They also came in three pieces and I broke two nails trying to put the top two pieces together (not the lid and base but the moving valve). It was almost impossible to attach and I wonder why it hasn't been assembled like…
