Inexpensive but works for heating

Had to order this item twice. The first was unsuccessful, called the manufacturer and was told the return will be through Revain and they will not be replacing it. Second, the positive connector is countersunk in the housing when installed. I had to poke my fingers into the wires inside when I plugged it in. Works fine once plugged in.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not bad

Works perfectly. Very easy to install.

My last fan was making a squeaking noise especially when it was slowing down and it was driving me crazy. It was half the price of local auto parts stores and was easy to install. It is important to lower the glove box, loosen the screw, remove the wind deflector (it is important to get the right rotation - watch the video on this), then unscrew the screws underneath and turn off the power. Install in reverse order.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No

Very noisy for 5 months

Easy enough to install but the noise it is making now is very disappointing. At first it made a little popping noise when working, which was normal, but now it's noticeably louder. I bought it to replace the original fan which was a bit squeaky and now after only five months the fan is even worse than the original fan. Maybe I got a defective product, but at the moment I'm not satisfied.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Empty

Thought it was broken. First.

I got this, plugged it in and found it didn't work. Went to test it for DC and found that one of the connector pins had been pushed into the case preventing the circuit from completing. I had to drag the pin back into place, which wasn't easy. The locking clip broke, as did my lip. But after the repair, it works surprisingly well. Super strong and very quiet. The only sound I hear is the air itself flowing through the vents.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Weak

very easy installation for 2006 ford focus

fast delivery! The detail fits perfectly. Installed today, very easy installation on a 2006 Ford Focus. 7 screws (three 7mm and four 8mm) for removal. 3 screws on the glove compartment, 1 screw for the air duct and 3 for the fan motor. Did it in about half an hour. I deducted a star for the fact that a very weak whistle can be heard during operation. Probably too faint to hear while driving but I hope it never gets worse. Overall very satisfied, the cheapest fan motor for my model. About half…

Pros
  • great price
Cons
  • poorly thought out

If your fan DISCONNECTS the INSTRUMENT UNIT when rotating, look for MICE before ordering a new fan. Ford designed the Focus fan and air duct so that the fan is mounted face up at the lowest point of the air duct. Guess where little Mickey ends up halfway home on your hour-long commute to work? Lol, maybe he's just jealous of all the hamsters that have the same wheels in their warm, safe cages, but his fat little body throws the fan off balance so much it sounds like the 747 is trying to catch…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Finally no more annoying fan squeaks

I have a 2004 Ford Focus ZX3 and have been dealing with a fan squeak for a number of years. When my air/heat was on level 1 or 2 the squeaking would drive me crazy and the music had to be turned up. I thought it was a more serious problem but after reading a lot of forums I decided to remove mine, clean the assembly and brushes and hopefully that will solve the problem, no. So I decided to take a chance. It was a very easy installation, just 7 screws (in my model) and a connector (with two…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works great with fan motors

Perfect fit. Now my fan runs at speed 1. Before that, the old fan was too tightly connected to the bearings to spin at the lowest speed. Now everything revolves around the new characteristics of the car. Supercharger update after several months of operation. The fan now makes a lot of extra noise. Instead of the sound of moving air, the fan makes a whirring noise. I removed the fan, greased the bearings, and started the fan while holding it in my hand. It looks like the noise is being made by…

Pros
  • Fits great for me

  • No instructions
