Significantly lower quality

I'm always looking for the cheapest cabin filter options. I don't care if 99.9999% of the cabin air is filtered. I breathe 0% filtered air when I get out of my car. I'm still alive. The reason I downgraded it 2 stars is that the filter material is clearly of a lower quality. I could see my fingers through it. Again, I don't care and I'm sure it works well enough, but I could pay a dollar or two more and get a better quality filter. I've seen better quality from other cheap alternatives. I just…

Fits like OEM. DIY and save $$

I buy this item about once a year for my 2011 Subaru Impreza. It fits like an OEM and works well. If you don't know how to change the filter, check YouTube. It's very easy. Save some money and replace it yourself. I change my filter once a year because I often ride on muddy and gravel forest roads. Update 2018: We use the same filter on our current 2016 Forester and 2016 Crosstrek. Great fit. Update 2019: I continue to use this cabin filter successfully. I swap them out way more often than…

It fits and is good value - 2008 WRX

I bought this after my dealer recommended a replacement. Knowing that they charge ridiculous prices as you can see from these reviews, I bought it here. It was easy to install and saved me a lot of money. The filter came with instructions on how to replace it, but I recommend checking the owner's manual if you're confused. I saw a manual that told me to remove seven screws. In fact, all I had to do was pull out a few pieces of plastic and it was in. The only downside I see with this purchase…

I was amazed at how easy it was to install

Every 18,000 miles Subaru takes me for a cabin air filter cleaning; Every time the price exceeded $100! I was amazed at how easy the installation was. The direction was clear. The 2008 Subaru Impreza has a cabin air filter behind the glove box. After emptying the glove box, drop it and release the latch (no tools required). This has a cabin filter that pops right out. Again no tools. You put a new one in, reattach the glove box latch, and fill it up with everything you own (everything you keep…

Perfect fit for 2008-14 Impreza and WRX

I just replaced the factory air filter on my Subaru WRX and it fits perfectly. The quality is similar to the factory filter. Collection: 1. Open the glove box.2. Loosen the damper on the right side by clamping the ends of the bolt at the end of the glove box.3. Lower the glove box until it stops by squeezing the sides of the glove box. This requires some strength. You will be able to feel where the glove box sticks to the dashboard.4. Squeeze each of the two sets of tabs on the old filter and…

Looks like the original and is about 1/3 the cost at the Subaru dealer

I liked everything about it. I think cabin filters are a bit pointless as opening the windows allows unfiltered air to enter your car, but they seem to capture some of the larger particles that might get into the fan motor. I need a new cabin air filter so I fixed this problem by purchasing these inexpensive replacement parts. I'm tempted to tell you there's a new one in the back seat you can put in as long as you have the old one.

Both changes were very easy. Tip

One of the easiest parts to replace on your car. DO NOT pay the dealer more than $100 for this easy 5 minute job. There are even a few videos on youtube.com that will walk you through everything step by step before you do it yourself. I replaced one in our 2009 Subaru Impreza sedan (which was really dirty) and one in a 2012 Subaru Forester that we use a lot on gravel and dirt roads. Both changes were very easy. Tip: forget the screwdriver. Release the small retaining lever from the glove box by

Easy Peezy, Lemon Squeezy

Incredibly easy installation. It comes with pretty clear instructions and there is a video on YouTube to help you out if you have any questions. No tools are required for my 2015 Forester, just your hands. In fact, it's almost a crime for a store to charge you more than $5-6 for a replacement, especially since you rarely bring it just for that. Note: If you pinch the tabs on the old air filter, pull it out to loosen it - if that's not easy enough, do not use force. Stop, take a close look at…
