Type of review

They are NOT made of flexible material like a factory or Mann filter. For installation on the Audi Q5 you will have to bend the filter to insert it. Stick with Mann filters, if you have the Q5 it's worth the extra $5. TYC makes a decent inexpensive filter, but they missed out by not making the flexible sides of this filter.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • Not sure

As mentioned, the filter has hard sides, meaning it's almost impossible to install unless you "fold" it; I spent about 20 minutes adjusting it and I think the final install just crumpled it up. I'll leave it like that for now, but learned from it: Next time I'll get a Mann filter (it costs twice as much).

  • Always liked

Average quality but problems installing

The filter appears to be of average quality. Definitely not as good quality as the Audi Mann branded filter that he replaced. Also, installation is more difficult than man. You actually have to flex the side a bit to flex it in order for it to go in. Mann is flexible and much easier to install with no potential filter damage. I will come back to Mann filters in the future. It's cheap and you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Not the best

Bought to replace the cabin air filter on a 2011 Audi A4. This one looked just like the original and gave me clean air again! I had a slightly sweaty smell before I changed it and now it's amazing! I love that this is a charcoal file as it cleans the air! Please don't hesitate to ask your questions. I try to make my reviews as honest and complete as possible so the other person can know exactly what they might be getting.

Works like a charm good for filters

Activated charcoal works amazing! There was an odor in the car that no shampoo or air freshener could remove. After replacing the filter, the smell was almost gone. YouTube how to change the filter. If you are claustrophobic I would not recommend doing this alone. You will be upside down in a small cramped space with little room for your elbows. Don't forget to take a small flashlight to help you. This has nothing to do with the performance of the product, just an indication of what to expect…

Cheap filter, does its job but next time I'll switch to man

I didn't really like that this filter felt more papery and was a lot cheaper than the original air filter my car came with. I had to tighten it a bit to make sure it didn't shrink in the filter holder in the car to make sure it was actually filtering the air. Next time I'd rather spend a few bucks more and get a Mann filter. They seem to be much more durable and I don't have to constantly take them out and put them back in to make sure they don't wrinkle. This filter was very cheap and will…

Great Filter - Replacement Parts

This is a great replacement filter for Audi. I have a 2010 A4 and it fits perfectly. The filter comes with instructions in the box showing where the filter is located. However, when you get to the part about pushing the white door, the instructions force you to push it the wrong way. If I'm not mistaken, it says to slide the door to the left, but actually you have to slide it to the right. Otherwise everything was fine. The filter says it has a carbon layer to remove odors. My cabin smelled…

Excellent as advertised

It's good and easy to install. Installed in my Audi A4 B8 you don't need a screwdriver, just a small flashlight. Some guides from the Audi World forum help with this [.] Instructions: It's not difficult, but I thought I'd show you the steps to change the air in the cabin. Filters.1. The filter is located under the glove box. A little light will help you find what you are looking for.2. You need to loosen the three plastic screws. Once they come loose, remove the piece of plastic/styrofoam that…
