Fits perfectly and good quality

I wear size 33 jeans and bought size 34 and they fit perfectly. I appreciate that they added several layers of fabric to the groin area to reduce the "clarity" seen from the outside. There's also a drawstring waist so if I dropped 10 pounds they would probably still fit me. A good thing.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Volume

Holds up much better than Speedo Endurance

I swim four times a week in a heavily chlorinated pool and have tried both Speedo Endurance and Tyr Durofasts. Tyr holds up much better and true to size and the colors don't fade. I'm 7 months with my current pair and swim 3 times a week. The stitching wears out long before the material tears, but they hold up. Maybe a bit more expensive, but really worth it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Speed

I swim about 3 miles a week. The first pair lasted about 200 miles in heavily chlorinated water in the gym's pool. The seams in the crotch came undone. The fabric was okay. I'm in pair 2 and 3. Comparable chlorine resistant Speedo bottoms lasted maybe twice as long and the crotch seams ripped. Normal swimsuits lasted about 10% longer. Her fabric became almost transparent at the crotch.

Pros
  • Excellent general improvement
Cons
  • No improvement

The right combination of comfort and durability

Every time I get a new pair of Jammers it seems like I either hate them or love them. The last few pairs of swim trunks didn't stretch enough to make the turn, the cheap ones recommended by Revain were really comfortable but wore out quickly so it was time to switch brands again. It seems like the perfect combination of comfort and material that will last. Having only worn them a few times I'm not comfortable judging their durability yet but for now I'm very impressed.

hold these. for men

I was an NCAA swimmer. I've swum at least 3 days a week for most of my life. This is the best suit for anything but competition and even then they still work. Chlorinated pools? jacuzzi? Swimming in open water? Do you wear them under shorts to the beach? However! I stopped worrying about what I had done to them. I have a black pair and a blue pair. At the moment the blue couple is 4 years old. There has been some fading but the fit has not changed and they are not sheer like most other suits…

Great for swimming and looks good

They are great for swimming in our pool. I bought them the same size as Dockers and jeans and they fit great. They are a little stretchy and I think they would fit if my waist was a bit bigger. They are pretty tight around the hips and I don't think I have very large hips. They appear to be well made. Instructions say to wash after use but do not use detergent or wring. I think they just want us to give them a good rinse with warm water, which I do. At my age, I really prefer those thigh-length

  • Cool product

  • Something different

Great but order one size up

I've ordered both a 34 and a 36. I wear a 34 in almost everything I shop including triathlon shorts and swimwear - when sold in sizes compared to S/M/L. Those 34s were too tight everywhere. I could wear them but I don't want to be seen in public! The 36s fit very well and snugly with no loose material. I've been wearing them for about a dozen pool workouts now and they feel good, don't ride up and down. There is a second layer on the inside front for a little less anatomical accuracy, which is…

Compare to Speedo Endurance

Train 4-5 hours a week all year round and have been for many years. My pool uses conventional chlorination. Of course, I got tired of changing the short-lived "regular" suits and discovered the TYR Durafast and Speedo Endurance suits. Doesn't matter! Although they use different materials, the anti-chlorine properties of both are similar. The fabric never seems to fray, but the stitching on both eventually fails. As mentioned elsewhere, the stitches will turn white after a while and go away…

Great for swimming

These are great life jackets, I've had them for about a year now and I swim fairly regularly probably twice a week on average. These things are very well preserved. I have been swimming regularly for several years and this was my first swimsuit of this type. This TYR muffler fits me very well. I've read reviews of all these types of swimsuits saying they can be tight just above the knee, yes maybe, but either you get used to it, or they get looser, or they're not that tight. The lining on the…
