These are great for in the water but if you’re hiking up/down a slanted rocky waterfall is still slippery. The shoes are too heavy and cumbersome for water activities.

I bought these because it was to hot to wear waders grips great when in the stream casting dries off quick and easy to kick off when done fishing. Great shoe.

I purchased these water shoes as an alternative to rain boots that i would wear at work. My work is mostly outdoors and i constantly walk all day long. If you look at these water shoes they have two basic styles, in several patterns/colors. This particular one (the one with the laces) has a piece of plastic at the top of the heel portion of the shoe, to reinforce it (see photo). Merican made just fell apart too fast and we’re not comfortable at all for the crazy amount of money I paid for it.These have been so wonderful and feel so perfect on my feet, that I wear them from time to time and just ordered another pair for myself and will get them again. The Chinese really know how to rework the product and make it perfect in every way including price. Awesome shoe=happy feet.
