🔧 Enhance Your Wireless Network with Ubiquiti Mounting Bracket for Access Points Review

This mount can be mounted a number of ways and is perfect for my need to mount it over an existing wall socket without creating additional holes in the wall. The look of my UAP AC PRO setup has definitely improved.

I recently bought a new house and had two WAP cables. This bracket made it easier to install the WAP. Two screws, turn and click. listed. Two access points installed in less than 10 minutes. My network was moved to a new home before the truck arrived.

This allows you to connect a UAP-AC-PRO to a group box. It does the job. However, my biggest complaint is that it's very difficult to remove the hotspot. They provide a special locking tool that allows you to rotate the hotspot to unlock it. The problem is that it is tight and difficult to unscrew from the mount.

Not that other brands have done much better, but the Unifi mount system is pretty terrible. You have to buy this metal bracket from the aftermarket every time you need something other than the standard bracket, which is most of the time. This seller was good and the product worked well given the circumstances, but it was difficult to remove the hotspot for a later setup due to Unifi's poor design decisions.

I managed to install my new UAC AP Pro instead of the plastic bracket that came with the AP. This gives you many different mounting options. I had a single junction box and this bracket has mounting compatible holes. I had to fiddle around a bit to set up the hotspot. I'm not sure how easy it will be to remove the hotspot if the device ever fails or I want to upgrade it. I'll wait to find out. This should be the standard mount for these access points.

Not cool people, not cool. I agree with others this piece should be included. I had a technician install my Unifi AP, but guess what, because I didn't have that metal bracket because it didn't come with the kit, I had to let the Unifi AP hang until I got the bracket. So I went here and started looking for a mount here at Revain and elsewhere and guess what's out of stock. It's a waste of time and trouble to look for a part that isn't even in stock, and then when we find it, we have to wait too…

This is a universal mount for everything, I don't know why it isn't included in the AP. If they replaced the supplied plastic with this [plastic or metal] it would be a huge improvement and would result in a faster and smoother installation. Awesome Hardware! Super impressive manufacturing and design thought. Seriously, unseen minds came together to design this, considering almost ALL installation options. While ALSO labels it so beautifully that it's mindlessly simple and easy to understand. Works great and easily with the Ubiquiti UniFi AP AC Pro (UAP-AC-PRO) it was designed for.
