Enclosure/Enclosure + SSD = Inexpensive Backup or Additional Storage

Build an external drive or backup drive for little money by purchasing this enclosure and an inexpensive hard drive or solid state drive Add. You don't get a preformatted or ready-to-use drive or instructions for the drive or shell, but instructions are available online. Not for those who want "plug-n-play".

I'm glad I bought it. on computer accessories and peripherals

I have a collection of drive cases for all formats. I haven't had one for 2.5" SATA drives yet. I tried several drives in this case and they were all recognized as WIN 7, WIN 8 and WIN 10. While opening the case was fun, it soon became one Simple process. Simply locate a spot on the cracked end of the case, stick your fingernail in and unzip the zipper. No tools required. The rims fit snugly, so no assembly/installation hardware is required.

Good basic SSD case, works with Pioneer XDJ 1000 players

I used a Crucial BX500 120GB SSD as a replacement for USB sticks in this case. I find SSDs more durable. I use this primarily with Windows 10 but wanted FAT32 so I used a MAC to format the drive. Works as it should. There is no problem if Windows or MAC sees the mapped drive. I've only used it about 6 times but it hasn't lost connection. As a side note, I use it with Pioneer XDJ 1000 media players, which can only be USB 2.0 and have had no problems.

Adapter from Disk UGreen sata 3 to USB 3

This product is a great purchase to use those extra 3.5" SATA hard drives (there is also another model for 2.5" drives). Just open the container and connect the drive to the SATA port. I haven't tried hot-swapping drives as I don't know if it's possible without prepping the drive. However, the device has an on/off switch, so it's easy to turn off the device and then turn on the switch. Solid security - read the pros and cons

I recommend if you need a quick deploy external hard drive enclosure that can be easily opened to change hard drives etc to get a previous version . This HDD enclosure is very difficult to open and it is very difficult to install HDD/SSD. I've bought several of these and it's always the same. I need to use a tool to open them natively to be able to open them at all to mount drives. The previous version of this case was perfect. This external drive does everything it's supposed to do. I bought this external solution after investing in a 4TB SSD for all my video games. I already had a gaming laptop that I took with me when I went out so I could play on the go if I wanted to.
